Good ages. I've been there with kids that age and it was fine. It's not very interactive. It's a look at stuff and read the description kind of museum. As long as they are up for that kind of experience, it's very informative and valuable.
I would recommend about 13 if they know about the Holocaust. We took my daughter a few weeks ago, she is 13. She did skip the video of the live killings at a concentration camp. It probably is too much for their age.
I would wait, I had a 70+ who couldn't. You have to have strong guts. You can prepare them. Unfortunately American kids aren't exposed to disasters. Sorry if I disappointed you. Each case is different too.
