Such a nice place, the staff do their absolute best. Rainey (sp?) was so helpful and funny. You’ll be taken care of here

My friend and I attended a concert here recently. The staff were excellent and friendly. They were also well organized. I removed a star because during the concert they gave out water…. But kept giving it to the same people in the crowd. We were dying of thirst stuck in the middle and were completely ignored. Find a better way to get water out!

One of my favorite music venues in Washington DC.

The best music venue ive been to. Loved the Joji show

The main floor is general admission, basically whoever is there first will be closest. The balcony, i believe, is assigned seats.
Parking is not available yet. You can park at L'Enfant Plaza in the meantime.
Each venue may have a different set-up for the what they define as VIP. Our VIP seats didn't have tables, but killer a killer view.
Yes. You will enter at 900 Maine Avenue. Next to the entrance on The Channel apartments
There are 6. Canopy by Hilton, Hyatt House, and Intercontinental are in the same complex. Two blocks away is The Mandarin Oriental. And a little further but still walkable is a Hyatt Place at 4th and E SW, as well as a Holiday in at 6th and C SW.
For some shows, GA means general admission seats on the floor.
I would check the venue or Ticketmaster prior to attending because it can change depending on how bad the COVID levels are in that area.
You would definitely have to make arrangements with a garage and a transportation Service. The Wharf is very crowded and has little to no parking. But if you park near a Metro station, they are clean and reliable. Good luck on your journey!
The Churchill in Dupont Circle is one of the nicer more affordable options
They have parking onsite as well as garages that are like a 5m walk. You should probably use Parking Panda tho cuz it can get expensive
The Anthem has both general standing only and box seating areas.
Was just there last Saturday and they didn't require any vaccine documentation.
no anthem owned parking, but the wharf has three underground parking garages
I was there last night, no restrictions or vax requirements.

Hi It probably would be much better to come into the line together (especially if you have their ticket). If they have their own, what you could do is come on in, get yourself acquainted with the venue a little, and then when they’re at the door they can text you and you can meet them there. It’s just to avoid any confrontation if someone decides to get mad about them cutting the line to get to you up front. I hope this helped.
Yes, either the COVID card or verification code via the Bindle app on your phone. You need to get a wristband to verify them checking this prior to going in the general admission line.
Before you buy tickets for their shows, it will say the age policy on the page for the show on the Anthem's website. It varies show to show.
According to the Anthem's FAQ page, "Unless otherwise posted, shows at the venue are all ages", so unless the specific show has age restrictions, it's probably fine.
Right - and white reaper. But what is the order?
Yes
Likely about 930.
There are quite a few garages in the area
Box Office is out front and yes, cameras are allowed.
Doesn't seem like she is via her website
Yes they have several seating areas designated for wheelchairs depending on show. Additionally the have the required ADA facilities such as elevators and basic bathroom amenities.
Yes because alcohol is served there with atleast 3-4 bars inside
No, they just scan the ticket.
You can enter the venue after the scheduled event has started
Once u get inside the place is wide open lots of space
No , it is an indoor new construction venue so the sound proofing is excellent.
In addition to the parking garages you can find street parking within 3/4 of a mile of you do some pre-planning with Google maps and drive around a bit. If the weather is good good you can park for free on the Ohio Drive and walk across the bridge to the Anthem.
Floor level is almost all GA, except for some shows there are reserved seats on the risers in the back of the room. Both balcony levels have the first half-dozen or so rows of seats reserved, and are GA beyond that.
I would either check at the band's website or through any ticket selling service (StubHub, Ticketmaster, etc) or going onto the Anthem's website and find the "buy tickets" button for that band.
There is a safe legal place to park in the wharf garages but it isn't free.
Waterfront or L'Enfant Plaza
No specific pick up/drop off but due to heavy traffic it would be wise to be dropped off a block or so from the venue and walk from there.
As far as I know the General Admission is standing. There are definitely seats on the upper levels and some on the lower level in the back. The lower seats are easy to exit if you want to wander out to the floor and back. https://www.google.com/maps/@38.8803243,-77.0259075,0a,75y,316.5h,79.05t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sAF1QipNWIfdlUOXUYOThbp8eJywr4V6RhmYdq8k11zQN!2e10 Check out The Anthem Shared via the #StreetView app
You can park right below the anthem and it is a covered parking garage. There was plenty of spaces when I went. Otherwise there are about 5 parking garages along that strip. It was expensive though. $35 max which in this day and age isn't really that expensive. They also had someone directing traffic after the concert which made it easy to get out.
Not confined, but need to keep your tickets on you to get back to your own seats.
Usually the main band starts around 9.30 and spend 2 hours
Call the venue and ask.
I suggest giving them a call if there's an item you're unsure they'd permit you entry with.
Very limited, if any, free parking. I always use parking panda or spot hero to pre-book a parking spot so I know I have one. I have showed up to the wharf before to a completely full parking garage. Depending upon how far you're willing to park, spots can be cheaper farther out.
Not sure. Purchased online.
Yes
As early as you want to, but there's not a bad spot in the place so you don't have to go early unless you want to be right up on the stage.
Most is standing, there's some stadium seating that costs more. I wouldn't make that investment though, there's not a bad spot in the entire place.
There is a coat check, you could ask about leaving it there
As long as it scans at the door then it doesn't matter. I've gone to multiple shows there and they never require an ID to match the name on the tickets
Theres a taxi drop off area out front. No need to be scared, not a bad area
I would message the venue if you couldnt secure an ADA ticket and see how they can accommodate you.
The Anthem's policy is not to do so in order to prevent secondary resale of those tickets. However, you may as well call and ask, they may make an exception for you. The policy is against it though.
I always prefer driving. Parking is ample, both in the underground garage of the facility, and also street and other garages within 10 minutes walking. The venue is SPECTACULAR, enjoy.
Many kids at last nights show. You won't have any issue.
You will be able to see them from anywhere though. I stopped going early because the place is designed so well it doesn't matter where you end up.
I stayed at the Hyatt, it's practically right next door.
Because they don't know the importance of having a job!!! People who love what they do on any job!!! Can answer any question pertaining to there job.
Yes
8 is usually the start time of the opening band. You can enter after 6:30 and as late as you want. Drinks are quite costly so some people hang outside until the main band starts.
Phone tix work
I don't think there is an obstructed view in the venue. I just will go general admission for all shows moving forward!
It depends on the artist or performance. I was able to but sometimes they don't allow it. You should be able to snap pictures regardless with your phone
Outside the city on the weekend at one of the Metro station parking lots.
Specialty grilled cheese sandwiches, different flavored popcorn are both good.
GA is an open standing room. It will be difficult to get back the same spot you had.
You should probably call their business phone instead of asking Google.
Some shows are 14 + 18 + or 21+ but only when stated. Otherwise the venue is all ages
I believe its 6k, 3500 just covers the floor, add the tiers and the all the standing areas in the open arena style.
There was no sign language interpreter when I was there on 1/10/2018, but there was accessible seating.
Depends on the popularity of the show. If it's not too big then I'd recommend 6:30 but if it's a more well known act then get there at 6pm or earlier because there will be a huge line outside the venue.
All the floors have elevator access and if you talk to staff they can direct you to ADA compliant seating.
There's designated areas for them, you can be stealth about it like the one guy said
The door line doesn't take that long, but some things to consider. Unless you have upgraded seats, majority is GA. If you want to be close on floor or have good views upstairs you are better off on the early side of the doors open. The sound is great wherever and the re is plenty of room. I've been to 5 sold out shows and they have all been great. I've not waited for more than 30. Even opening night. Have fun
Yes. Hundreds of spaces in the garage below it, with multiple paid parking garages nearby. Limited street parking is available.
The general admission seats are on the floor. There are a some GA seats on the upper floors. Also, some reserved VIP seats on the upper floors. If you are going to stand, eat something before the show, go easy on the alcohol, and drink plenty of water.
Depends on the concert, but usually 11/11:30.
Do the boxes actually have seats or do you need to stand
Pretty much equal distance - Waterfront and L'enfant are your options
Nothing specific to the Anthem as far as I know, but a decent specific to the wharf. I'd recommend either pre-pay, or even parking in Crystal or Pentagon City, and Lyft/Uber in. Those are maybe 10-15 mins in, and you might spend more than that looking for a spot.
