For truck drivers, 53 feet, I leave this description so that they arrive safely... for those who deliver on cruise ships, from Arel in my case, enter 278 E until exit 29b, at the second traffic light, right and keep left to cross the Manhattan bridge and then canal street until the end of 9A, keep to the left since on the right is the exit for 78, then at the end right and direct until exit 8, a U-turn hug well and later before the light they park to the right next to the park... easy eye on the exit of 27 of 278 it says that you have to leave through the 12"9' bridge, in hot weather go through there I don't know in winter , take into account... I hope it helps you... I leave you photos...

Cruise terminal itself was very efficient and clean. The sail in and out of NYC was nothing short of spectacular, only downside is NYC traffic getting to & from terminal.

May The Force Be With You in trying to get to the cruise ship. Can you say "FUBAR". Shuttle driver unloaded suitcase for 3 people. The bag guy literally walked 3 steps to pick up bags and 1 step to throw them in a baggage cart. They were UNION you HAD to tip them. I would of tipped him anyway ($7.00 a bag), but because he informed me I had to tip, he got $1.00 from me. So he was Greek, called me a name. I don't understand the language, so maybe was telling to have a good day. 😆 LOL. I will NEVER go on a cruise out of New York again.

Took taxi from Penn Station to terminal. Taxi driver had no clue where this terminal was located. Once inside everything was very smooth in checking in and walking through to ship

Escape leaves from the Manhattan Terminal. The piers are marked with the ships name.
Call Norwegian for better details
Only through the cruise line. But depending on what airport there is a flat fee to Manhattan and airport
You cant get picked up on the upper level where you get dropped off. After you get off the ship and go through customs you will exit the terminal at street level and there is a spot for pick up there
they are still using the port in Brooklyn i heard its going to be about a year for the Manhattan port to re open. I know royal Caribbean uses the Manhattan dock and I do believe carnival uses them too not sure about other cruise lines. but there are limited cruises that leave from ny. not sure the exact ships that dock there it hasn't been used in a while
I was in the one that parts from Flushing Queens
711 12th ave NY, New York pier 90
YES
a
If your government ID is a passport or passport card, then yes.
The ships slips may vary. It's hard to know exactly which slip a given will be in. Closer to departure ncl will notify. At times you may leave from one slip and return to another. (Pier 90 was hit by a Carnaval ship end of August and that slip was out of commission for a while.)
Not sure... If you go to Carnival Cruise Line website, I'm sure they will tell you where they dock in New York specifically!
A passport is not required whenever your embarking from a US port and disembarking from an US port. However, a passport is a great form of ID to have. If you do not have a passport then be sure to bring a driver's license and your birth certificate with you to the port.
Yes. Any ship leaving from NYC Manhattan will use this terminal. Check your cruisline or TA for pier number. Parking is very expensive and best to take a cab.
Hello Angela, the Cruise Terminal Parking Lot gate counts all incoming vehicles to ensure everyone gets a spot. You will always find a spot to park your car. Thanks! ☺
I am not sure about Disney Magic, but Carnival Magic does depart from this port during the NYC cruise season. It moves to Norfolk, VA late September or early October.
There is parking there but I don't know how expensive it is because I just came back from a cruise and many people had their car parked up on the roof of the building it is right next to where the ship docks. I looked out of my balcony window and I saw the parking lot
For Norwegian Joy, it is. For Norwegian Breakaway, it's Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ.
Well, it doesn't have an outlet, but it does have a mall at 34th and broadway, it's called Manhattan mall..
Depends on which cruise you book. Mostly uses Brooklyn Terminal.
You should have a check in time arranged by your cruise line. Carnival does that. Not sure about other cruise lines. You should be able to select what time you want to arrive. Pro tip: if you're doing a Bermuda cruise, select the earliest check in time or you'll get stuck in the ridiculously long and slow line up!
At least an hour to 90 mins prior to boarding/embarking...
If it's the only ship in Port that day it will be pretty obvious where to go. Likely 88 or 90. If you take a taxi to the port it'll drop you off in the right spot.
yes there is an area for pick up
I don't know why it would do that, that is the zip code. try just putting in Manhattan Cruise Terminal
The best place to find that answer would be on NCL, Norwegians web site
Yes. For 7 day cruise to brtmuda
I agree with Mike. You can take the subway which is cheaper but you will need to walk a greater distance. Uber or Lyft is the best option.
I have no idea....i know carnival docks there.
Yes
If you have luggage, the easiest by far is taking an Uber/cab. It is the fastest and more direct way to get to the terminal without needing to navigate the subway system.
Yes
The cruise terminal 711 12th Ave. By the water. Times Square is 46th and 7th. Not very far but not very close. I went on NCL. Does that answer your question
$280 for Sunday to Sunday
LaGuardia Airport
Yes
If you're not in a rush before your cruise, you can walk towards 8th Avenue to look for restaurants. Just Google best restaurants in the area. Good luck
Not sure if it's open on Saturday. I parked there for a week from Sunday to Sunday for roughly $280.
Yes you can take test at the terminal but it a very long process and a fee
I don't know. We registered to be tested at the terminal under the guidelines of the cruise we were taking.
Not yet
Norwegian leaves from here. You can check the getaways itinerary on ncl.com
It can be anywhere from 30-50 a day depending where you go. There are lots of private lots in the area that cater to cruise terminal parking
As far as I know there are no parking deals in place. A lot of people stay at a hotel the night before the cruise, the hotel has been known to allow guests to park long term for a decent fee. Keep in mind that parking in NYC is very pricey. You should find out which hotels work with the cruise line of your choice.
Looked like it
The time will vary your best bet is to call the cruise line
We stayed in Elmhurst and drove in.
No, that's not free! You need your passport and a valid boarding pass for the corresponding cruise ship!
We were on the Sapphire Princess in September this year and were docked at Pier 90 at the end of 50th Street in Manhattan, but Princess also use the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. Best thing is to check with them but they may not know where they've been allocated until nearer the date. Sorry can't help with the hotels - live in UK. Enjoy your cruise.
Im not sure but I was told rent a hotel near it and they will let you park for the 7 days and take a taxi to the terminal we paid 280 for 7 day parking at the terminal we divided by 6 people so that wasn't bad and my son lefty car unlocked all 7 days at the terminal nothing was taken or bothered I have about 100 dollars of just quarters in it a radar detector and a cell phone one of the girls forgot so I say pay the terminal well worth the safety and convenient.
I do not know. Call the terminal to inquire
Check with Regent or their web site to see their home ports.
Carnival and norigeian far I know
Yes, it does. To make sure you need to call the 1800 number to confirm which
7 am disembarking starts about 730-8am
There is a garage on top of the terminal.
You should call Manhattan's Cruise Line or ask your personal cruise consultant! There's many boarding docks on 12th Avenue. Asked what's the between streets that you should check in at!
Going on a Cruise on the Norwegian Gem this Thursday March 10th, 2022, is there port parking for my SUV? if yes, how much?, do I need a resrvation?
Go to Carnival website but my favorite port is from NY so I don't have to fly anywhere. 🥰
Im not sure sorry.
I Cruise on Norwegian Dawn, 14 floors, their smallest ship (it was big to me)! Ask your Cruise Consultant questions!
I do not beleive that it is as valet parking, I use a car service to the terminal. Last trip I have noticed passengers loading their car with luggage which indicates that they have their own keys.
Carnival and Norwegian, Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas sails from New Jersey's Port Liberty
I did walk from grand central with no luggage, still far to walk with luggage.
The street is 12 ave. 711 12th ave is the address.
I sailed on NCL round trip out of that Terminal this month.
Easy access to ship
But you are in New York there's a lot to do in the area
According to Google, it takes a taxi approximately 45 minutes to reach the Manhattan Cruise Terminal from JFK. May I suggest that you contact a cruise consultant from MSC to discuss the pier number and embarkation details?
Definitely check your itinerary!
Get there early, say 1 1/2 - 2 hours!
Very simple look at your ITENERARY AND SEE WHERE YOUR SHIP IS DEPARTING FROM.
Every year its a different ship. Last year it was the carnival Horizon this year its the Carnival Sunrise
Do a search for "Cruise parking Manhattan Cruise Terminal" and you will find several options. About $140 for 7 days.
Manhattan cruise terminal on pier 90 is the correct answer to go with NCL from NYC.
The documents don't tell you what pier. The address for each pier is different. Had the same issue when we took the Escape out of New York. Luckily our Uber driver knew where we needed to be. This pier was the worst when it came to dropping off luggage and getting into the terminal to check in.
Some cruise lines have moved to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal (cunard, Princess). Its very inconvenient and even taxis dont want to take you there.
We took the greyhound bus and took a cab, which was just a few block from the bus station save money and worries! spent the savings on gifts#
Cruises to Canada New England, Bermuda, Caribbean and transatlantic cruises sails in ane out from here
Most of the Fleet week events that are held on the water are done on the Intrepid.
Sorry my language skills are not that good however I think you're asking about transportation from the La Guardia Airport to Manhattan cruise terminal in which case there are transfer buses and plenty of taxis ber and grab ground transportation vehicles available
Sorry I can't help you on this one as we sailed from Southampton.
I would check with the bus line on their route but I would assume it goes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal
It depends on the airline that you're flying with to be honest but both airports are equally accessible to or from the cruise terminal
I know a couple Norwegian ships leave from NY, I just left from there on the Escape last month, but i think they are done for the season, till spring
Bus terminal is ten minutes from the pier 8 dollar cab ride
NCL is the only one I have taken from this terminal. But, I suspect there are a lot more.
I don't no, i go bye AIDA.
I think that's where all cruise ships dock in NYC.
Yes but no food
Yes there is on side parking with a fee which I don't know what the cost is
Thanks vlad do you have an idea if there's any parking on site before delivery or were to park
LaGuardia is the closest, in Queens NY. JFK is another option in Queens, a little further out. Newark airport in new Jersey is also an option.
There is limo service from NJ but not from me I am not a limo driver.
I'm not sure of the exact number, but it is by Intrepid ship
Yes it is.
The terminal is for major cruise lines that offer 5-10 day cruises. No restaurant in the cruise terminal just a hot dog stand.
88, next to the Space Museum. You can't miss it and hundreds of your fellow cruisers. Take the elevator to the second floor to go through security and to check in.
Take your kids up to the kids area and sign them up for all-day activities... while you drink the cruise away and You will only have to see them at dinner time.
Check with Carnival customer service as to where the ship will dock - sometimes ships from other areas are re-assigned to here from out of the area. There are 3 cruise ports in the New York area, 1 in Brooklyn, this one in Manhattan and another in Bayonne, NJ which is down river from this one.
Parking in NEW YORK IS AS LITTLE cheaper . if you use Spot Hero it was great and convenient. And super cheap
Very close. 42nd street to 88th. Take Uber
Yes
idea..why don't you call Carnival & find out (just a simple thought) 😉
Aren't these questions archived so people can read them somewhere? It seems like I'm seeing the same questions asked and answered every week.
That is correct
Carnival does use this pier. I'd double check with carnival just to be sure.
Been first several times , awesome....if you book suite or haven proirity. If handicap priority....other than that roll of the dice. You won't start boarding til 11 so by then hundreds of people will be there by then. Oh yeah if you have an onboard wedding party priority also!
Here's my plan. Everybody goes together w/luggage to the terminal to help w/ unloading and checking in bags which is occurs outside. Then 2 people get in line inside which can take an hour easily if before noon. (We usually get there around 1pm for the way shorter lines. This is for a 3pm Norwegian departure ) 2 people return the rental car and Uber back to the terminal and get dropped ACROSS the street. Walk across to terminal. This alone can save you 20 min waiting in terminal traffic. All rejoin finishing the wait line. If you are delayed during return to terminal, no problem. Your friends can just pull out of line and wait for you until you get there. Get onboard, hit the buffet and have a great time!
Get ready to be treated like cattle from the port authority. You will be yelled at and pushed along. When you board and get off. Just blow it off.
I would say check their website.
Yes it is to the eastern Carribean
We saw only NCL Breakaway. All the cruise departure information s would be under driving directions in the website including the pier details. Good luck!
I do not know anything about New York. I have to ask questions when I need to go there
You are only a few blocks away from a multitude of good eating places. Look up the area on google maps and zoom in to area near terminal...you'll see the food places pop up about 2 or 3 streets across from the terminal! ("9 avenue" -?) It may seem to be a bit of a walk if you are walking from the terminal WITH suitcases but not if your luggage has wheels! Also, if you are out of town - you should consider booking at 1 of many hotels offering a FREE breakfast. Many offer continental breakfasts for free. Many hotels will Sell you a breakfast but many less expensive hotels have a FREE breakfast which includes (self service) a choice of cereals, make your own waffles, fruit, toast, muffins and bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. Plus Coffee, Teas and fruit juices. Hotels like this relieve the pressure of finding a place to eat on the way to the terminal. Another plus, book a hotel like this with 5 streets of the terminal and it is an easy stroll to the terminal - no need for Taxi's
Yes, you check in on the upper level.
Don't rent a car to come over to where the ships are there is the rentals are nowhere near by
Your cruise ticket is the only ticket you need however, it will cost you upwards of $300 to park your car for the week you are gone!
It's at the very end of 49th Street!
Agree with Ryan outside city and uber
Nope. You'll need to get a hotel room.
Eat before getting to terminal 😊
Marriott Residents Inn 6th ave and 39th Street
I believe so but you would need to check there schedule for dates i know Norwegian does and docks thwre for 3 straight days its a 7 day cruise and i got a really good deal for September 2018 they also are currently running a drink package free u just pay gratuities
There is parking but new York citys prices are nuts u may fins it cheaper to get to new york penn station or port authority where a cab is cheaper
, I use salmon limo car service their service prices are unbelievable they are reliable for five boroughs and New York City, for reservation tell them zack send you and they give you better deal
I dont know but the parking garage was down the road was like 150 a car for the week i believe
