A passport is not required whenever your embarking from a US port and disembarking from an US port. However, a passport is a great form of ID to have. If you do not have a passport then be sure to bring a driver's license and your birth certificate with you to the port.
Yes because when you go to other countries you have to show them your passport and cruise card
I agree with Sam and Jesica. Bring your passport with you. In case you need help along the voyage and get dropped off at, let say, Bermuda, you will need it. Make sure it is good for at least 6 months.
Depends on the situation
It depends where are you going and where are you from. If you are american and the destinations are american too, of course not. Id is enough
You will need one if you are not a US citizen.
If you are boarding a ship in the US and disembarked same port no US passport is required. ***Rule of thumb to follows with these exceptions to the rules: 1. traveling to/from Canada you can use any GI (Government Issue) ID; could be your drivers license. 2. Mexico is not part of the US so you need passport 3. Porto Rico and Alaska are common wealths so you DO NOT need a passport. AGAIN: 4. Any port of call and disembark to the same port No passport is needed. Reason you are coming back to the same port. Hope this helped.
Passport is the best form of ID
It's not required but definitely easier with one.
Most of the time if it's a closed loop...starting in the US ending in the US no passport is required. I think Cuba and a few other places a passport is required.
Possibly. Where are you going
