It's impossible to schedule an appointment on the website. Disregard the website, get all documents necessary and fees in cash, go to consulate 4am (except Wednesdays), and wait till they open at 9am. You need to go there this early to make sure you will be one of the 5 people. Consulate only accepts 5 Passport applications per day without the impossible appointment. You will walk out with Passport in your hands on the same day.

You can apply for Italian if you have US . If you have IT, then you should apply for US through the regular US immigration authorities.

To apply for Italian Citizenship, you were asked to call a number that is a collect call, talk as fast as possible, but then, they give you a year and a half to get all the documentation together before the interview. You need to get everything translated, apostilled into italian. You can only use translation companies from a list that the consolate approves of. I would also suggest joining Italian American web forums to get advice from people who know about the process.

Hi Estella, are you looking to renew your passport ? If yes you can go there 3am and wait at the door. They open at 9am and will accept 5 passport applications per day except Wednesdays. If you go there at 3am and there are already 5 people there, then you will have to come on the following day and pray for you to be among the first 5.

This is likely a question for them, not Google. Answers here are managed by customers, not the office. Outside that, this is a Consulate, not an Embassy. Embassies are only located in capitals, therefore DC. I wouldn't know if you can pay a ticket issued by a State enforcer (Polizia do Stato, Carabinieri etc) but if you have gotten a ticket by a local municipal force then the answer would be a definite "no"; consulates do not deal with matters of local municipalities.

You can only apply when you are in Italy. You can go to the Post Office and ask for the Documentation for the application of what is called " Permesso di Soggiorno" to be sent to the Questura (Police) of the Province when your property is located.

The biggest question I had waiting 1.5 years after my citizenship appointment. I received an email about that much time after waiting. Just wait for an email from them and you should be good to go. Gotta be REALLY patient.

You need an appointment, 2 passport photos, must be registered all aire! But if you need them urgently you can present even without an appointment I think they let at least 5 people enter without an appointment! But they want the plane ticket or the reservation! a light or tel bill or something where his name and address are shown! I had the same issue, they told me to try online everyday at 6pm as spaces become available when people don't confirm their appointment. Make sure you have all the required documents with you because you might get an appointment for the next day. I tried mine everyday at 6pm and managed to book for Monday on a Friday. Hint: if you do this, make sure you log on around 5.45pm, their system becomes extremely slow approaching 6pm, I guess due to high volume of people trying to access it.
