I am an Italian citizen with three Italian children. My husband is an American citizen, and he would like to obtain the Italian citizenship by marriage. What does he need to do to obtain his Italian citizenship? Thank you.

I think you need to provide the consul with your marriage certificate and if necessary certified translation and apostille. If you've been married at least 3 yrs I believe he would get citizenship. But please check it out yourself as I a. Not sure

You should visit the prenotami website. There is a ton of information. You can also search marriage in the search bar within the website. They are very detailed. Best of luck.
