My wife was obtaining a visa from the consulate thinking it would be a quicker process than obtaining visa on arrival, which I’m told she would easily get since I’m Egyptian. But couple of the people she met over there were unprofessional and unhelpful. If possible, I’ll try to reach out to the general consul and explain what happened

The service is good now for only people make appointment online.but if anyone didn't make appointment do not go because you wasted your time and the American Guard aren't letting you to go upstairs because they have a list of people that make appointment . Also if you need someone to go with you upstairs you should make an appointment for this person with a different email. I hope this review help anyone. Thanks

I faced the same problem,They lock the appointment on certain location, the solution is, if you are trying to make an appointment in NY, just ask a friend who lives in NY or New Jersey to open the website and make it for you. It will work 👍

Get an appointment through the website. Also you should find the requested documents there. Do check if you need a visa at all in advance. Many citizenships get it at the airport.

Aslam alykoum my brother, You should have any form of ID with you. You shoudl bring more then one just in case anything happens my brother.If you would feel more packed and ready you should bring picture if you would like.

They don't answer their phone for whatever reason. But if want to get a Visa it cost $15.00 and it's only good for 30 days. They no longer do extensions there, you have to get that done at the local Immigration and Passport office in Egypt. (Whatever city you will be visiting).

You can get a visa on arrival in Egypt as an American citizen. I'd suggest you do that. This consulate is best avoided.
