Such a beautiful beach! It’s very clean and the water is BREATH TAKING. So blue and clear. It was our first time in Florida and I had looked up this beach. A must when you’re in the Destin area. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back on our future trips to Florida.

Great place to get your toes sandy and wet. The pavilions have a bathhouse and showers outside for your body and feet. The beach access is ramped. Bathrooms were clean and the pavilions have tables and shade for picnics and those who need to be out of direct sunlight. Camping areas offer 60 sites some pull throughs and a dumping station.

We went here because my uncle recommended it it was my late Aunt’s favorite beaches. Definitely earns the name Emerald Coast. Sand was white and soft, when the waves rolled in you can see what’s coming. Definitely recommend!!!

I live across the street from Henderson Park and as such I go there just about every morning and walk the beach I get Early Access so I get to see the Moon Over the beach and I get to see some really great sun rises and some sunsets. This is a wonderfully managed State Park I particularly like Alex who always has a smile on his face. If you can get an RV campsite here you will not be disappointed. However, the campground beach access boardwalk will be closed for repairs from September 2021 through March 2022. Still, it's spectacular and the next state park that you'd should try if you like being on the beach would be Topsail which is about 12 miles down the road but Henderson is easier and a much better day use Park. Topsail which is further down you have to take a tram to get to the beach and I prefer being able to park and walk right over at Henderson

Great park and we've been quite a few times but haven't found anything spectacular. Just the basic small clam shells and small bits of sand dollars are all we ever see.
One of the best is sand fleas. If u pay attention where the waves start to pull back off the beach you can catch them. Or go to bait store and get you some of the berkley orange sand flea bites. I also like to use live or froze shrimp on a pompano style rig. Youtube the things ive mentioned and you will get a good look at what im saying. They also sell the metal sand flea rakes about everywhere.
Yes, but you need a reservation. You can't camp directly on the beach though.
Congratulations on going to visit it's a wonderful place! As everyone has said check in was 8am and it's a very nice, peaceful, very clean RV park that include Beautiful beaches and soft white sand!!! Everyone is very nice and very helpful!!! Hope you have a Great time
Yes as long as you have or purchase a surf fishing licenses. Not the same as a pier permit.
Absolutely. Food sites. Water and electricity. Dump station. I think mostly backins. I meant to write GOOD sites.
Rvs are allowed. There is limited spots and they are probably booked about a year out.
Dogs are not permited on the beach. They are allowed in the campground.
Yes they do have pull through's.
Depends on how many nights and days u are staying I'm trying to look and see for ya real quick on my statement so One Sec It's is $34 a night plus tax
Yes. You will be fine. I saw many of the same.
Small ones I don't know the name as I dnt fish but I see other do on the shore in tthe afternoons. It's usually very calm you can see them swim by you.
Yes, there is seaweed in the water. Not super thick though
Deep Patel yes they have picnic table
Yes and they have one that is just for one person plus one for everyone
Reserve your site 11 months before you want a spot.
Partial hook ups. Details can be found here: https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/henderson-beach-state-park/experiences-amenities
You'll be fine, no one is going to tell you to take your tent down.

There is a gate that you must go through. If you live in the area, you can buy a season pass which includes the castle on site and Book Green Gardens across the street. If camping there is no set time for the gate.
They drop you off at the entrance booth before you pay and pick you up there. It's just around the curve to walk from that point. That's what we did last week.
I don't know if you can bring your own. They have some at the park.
We recently stayed there on our way down to Key West. The RV park was small, but it was very clean. The bathrooms were nice and had separate handicap bathrooms and showers which my wife was able to enjoy. Everyone we met was very nice and welcoming. They have some rentals available for the beach such as chairs and umbrellas. We would definitely go back.. Here is the link to reserve a spot. https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/henderson-beach-state-park/FL/281186/overview
Yes between the shelters you are allowed to fish
I didn't see any I think it's a public beach as far as I could tell.
Or, you drive 1 mile to the public parking area, inside the park and be right on the beach and close to the restrooms!
No, pets are not allowed on the beach and I do not remember seeing any dog beach
Great
The best months to surf fish at Henderson Beach is March - November. The primary fish people fish for during these months are Pompano and Whiting. However other species can be caught, such as Redfish, Blue Fish, Spanish Mackerel, and Sheepshead. Occasionally, there are Bonita, Sharks, Black Drum, Lady Fish, and Blue Runners.
Sorry don't recall seeing that.
Chairs and umbrella for $40
We got sunburns today. You’re good on tanning.
There is a campsite 4 miles east of Henderson State park.. I can't remember the name but I passed it on the way home. go in the direction of Panama City
No
I believe we paid $6 to enter and it's 50% off for camping if your a Florida resident. Campsite prices vary from $16 to $42 and senior citizens get a discount I believe 50% off camping not real sure but there is a discount. Hope this helps you.
No
They do! There is a washer and dryer located at the bath house.
They have campsite but you have to do reserve in reserveamerica.com.
Anywhere you want it i went from georgia down to that area there is no issue where to set your tent you pay 6 dollars for the entrance to the park they also have a rv area if you have one.
Yes. I am from NY so. We actually went swimming in January but if you are a southerner then no lol. Its around 68 to 72
There aren't any signs posted that they aren't allowed Good luck I lost my ring maybe he will get lucky and find it 😁
You could get married there. Not sure about having the whole wedding on the beach. You'd have to call the park.
Yes
We went to Panama City Beach Pier Entry 56. There is an actual sign on the beach that says "Dog Beach" We saw a lot of dogs out and it was a very clean, beautiful beach. It is an hour to get out there from Destin, but the drive was delightfully scenic and fun.
It is awesome especially when you are fishing from the shore around 530-600 in the evening when it cooled down
I also saw two people using one when I was there this past Sunday.
I was in Destin (near by) a little over a week ago. A young girl got flesh eating bacteria on her leg. Be certain, no open wounds. I don't feel as though it's isolated to the gulf coast...for instance Michigan lakes are experiencing this as well.
If you go to the state park entrance it's around $6 per car and that includes parking and beach access.
I should point out that I and about 4 million people a week swim in those waters. Don't be scared by sensational media coverage.
But this place is so worth it!! Only 6 dollars to go in. And the park is clean and the beach is beautiful♡
It is one of the best places in that area. Not over crowded like some of the other areas with hotels and condo's. Clean bathrooms, picnic area, and beach. Monitored by the Park Service. $6 fee.
14 days in campground
You only need a reservation for camping. The beach/park is available for all who pay the entrance fee
Florida State Parks only allow dogs on the trails and in designated areas. They usually don't allow them on the beaches unless it states otherwise on their website or at the beach access point.
Notify the park ranger
That would really depend on the weather. Check the forecast for days with a light offshore breeze.
No, the sand dunes are fragile and protected by the park.
All loops are the same distance to the beach walk. We could hear the surf in site 48
No pools, beach and gulf access.
John Cordes . Yes sir it does cover it but you have to register online first..
It's a State park. The shutdown will only affect National parks.
Electric only pretty sure
We kept my sister's dog in our trailer, so yes! You just can't take them on the beach.
No cabins available but spaces available for placing a tent or travel trailer
How much to camp w/tent electric and water hook up?
Yes, at the far west end parking area they now have rentals available on beach. It's new as was just there a week ago.
We did not see any. Just beautiful white sand and pretty water
Hello this weekend I am going with my fam. That time is good to reach the place and that they allow to enter the park
To stay in the campground you can reserve 11months in advance, you have to go through reserve america to make the reservation
No pets are allowed
We were there about 3 days ago and no seaweed at all. Crystal clear water.
We paid $6 for a car of two or more people. It's $4 per car if you are alone. I didn't cross any toll roads, so I don't know anything about tolls.
Yes.
I heard tides were pretty tough
You can get a water taxi from the boardwalk down the road but I did not see any of the taxi arrive or leave from Henderson
Very nice clean bathroom and showers
I believe that the camping there is on a first come first serve basis, but you can you can try and call or see if you can book it on line.
It's a state park. So look at their website for a phone number and rules regarding overnight stays.
yes there is public restrooms and campground area with restrooms.
Yes you can swim there with green and yellow or you can risk tour life with red.
The bathrooms close at sundown. They are large enough for changing and have benches to set makeup and whatnot on. The vanity is 3 bowls long so plenty of space.
There are bbq grills at the pavilions if you choose to bring your own food.
Henderson beach is nice and unspoiled. Very few people during the week.
If you are looking for a public beach Henderson Beach is really nice and very beautiful not to mention very clean
Only at the campsites, not on the beach. Reservations must be made early and spots go quickly..
Bring your own chairs and umbrella. Not far walk from parking and then down from dunes. Coolers allowed, no glass, and koozie or Solo cup best for adult beverages. Quiet spot, usually not crowded, nice beach and water.
Yes boogie boards are good
Yes there are discounts for Vets the hole city of Destin support all who serves
The park provides beach wheel chairs. Contact the ranger station.
I heard 30 dollars, But I don't know if it changes with the tourist Season.
If you exit the park it is directly across the street. No need for pictures. If you miss it you are not at Henderson Beach.
Water and electric only. Picnic table at each site. No WiFi.
Henderson State Park Beach is $30 and night for tent and mind you the ground is either cement or gravel. They have laundry shower facilities and a boardwalk straight to the beach about a five-minute walk. If you have an RV I'm not sure how much it cost. Hope that helps.
$30 per night and $210 per week. No campers over 60 ft.
Nonresident saltwater anglers must purchase a regular nonresident saltwater fishing license at $17 for three days, $30 for seven days or $47 for one year, regardless of whether they fish from shore or a vessel.
I think not
Chingas ... like 9 hours
