The best months to surf fish at Henderson Beach is March - November. The primary fish people fish for during these months are Pompano and Whiting. However other species can be caught, such as Redfish, Blue Fish, Spanish Mackerel, and Sheepshead. Occasionally, there are Bonita, Sharks, Black Drum, Lady Fish, and Blue Runners.
It's always beautiful and something is always biting even if it's the mosquitoes. Lol
A few people fish here - you just can't between the boardwalks: "Fishing is prohibited between the boardwalks and fish cleaning stations are not available. Bait & Tackle can be purchased just outside of the park." https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/henderson-beach-state-park/experiences-amenities
We were there a couple of nights ago and saw some people fishing. 🙂
Its a state park, so not sure about fishing.
