I was pulled over for no reason.

My son had an injury at school. I picked him up from the school and was headed to the hospital. I called the state patrol to let them know that I would be speeding and if they would offer an escort that would be fine. if instead they chose to ticket me I was willing to accept that as well but I wasn't going to stop until I was at the hospital. Rather than offer an escort they sent an officer to the school to interrogate his teacher. My son had an accident nobody was at fault; he was six at the time. The mentality is to be serve and protect, not interrogat and prosecute. This was a premier opportunity for the state patrol to be their best, but rather they pursued placing fault on an accident. I am absolutely infuriated. Be better Nebraska State patrol. I love that you guys persue crime, however I am disgusted the effort do the right thing in this moment. I can only hope that you will issue an apology to the school and those that you accused without any justification.

We drive past numerous highway information boards Friday. Not one had any info that the interstate was closed. Instead, Nebraska generated a massive traffic fiasco. This could have resulted in secondary accidents making a bad event even worse.

Corrupt. The troopers were trained by law enforcement officers who are unethical. There are only 2 types of officers - 1) LEOs who break laws to enforce laws 2) ethical LEOs who give criminals enough rope to hang themselves. I've worked with federal law enforcement officers. I know my rights. NE troopers need additional training or the agency needs new management Nebraska seems to have alot of type 1 LEOs. Afterall, NSP did cover up Nasser style medical exams of female troopers. NOT IMPRESSED.

There was a traffic incident in the area on I-80 that was causing traffic to back up in the interstate. The Trooper was using a technique to bring groups of cars to the stopped cars in a way that helps alleviate traffic congestion and gets things moving again. This is a technique commonly used around Lincoln during game days and referred to as "football traffic". Hope this helps!

If it's a check that does not require you to have fingerprinting done you can go to statepatrol.nebraska.gov Click on services Select Criminal History Records Request If you're also needing fingerprinted then you'll need to call your local NSP office to set an appointment...
I believe NE does have reciprocity with KS, however, thats only if youre visiting/passing thru. If you're relocating you'll want to contact KS authorities to see whether they'll honor your NE CCW or you'll be required to take other steps to obtain a KS permit.
