Just go in there and talk to them. They will help you get it and get it free as well
NO cost to you! 👍 😀 Just go to The Stewpot Mondays to Fridays (BEST Time to Get IN Line IS Before they open at 8:00am 'cause they close from 11:45 to 1:00pm, Open up again After 1:00pm But sometimes they run out of the D.M.V. "checks" by 1pm). Read On... The person at the Main window will ask you for ANY kind of Other I.D. (just to see Who YOU are), she/he will take your name, write it on her/his pad, then your name gets called, then you see a Caseworker at her/his tiny office, then the Caseworker will give you this kind of like a "check" ALREADY Made OUT TO the Texas D.M.V. so you can go take your Texas I.D. IF you want a TX Driver's License it might be harder to Obtain IF yours is Already Expired OR IF you've got any prior DUI's, OR DWI's, from TX OR from another State(s). GOOD LUCK To You! 👍 😎
Its best to get there about 630 or 700.. When i went there was only 10 of us in line.. .. No appointment needed.. Must bring picture id... ..
You'll be assigned a "case manager" & then you can call her or him directly. Get there at 6:30 or 7am. Wait in line (sorry bout the wait & the conditions) They open the door at 8am & line moves up to your turn to talk with security officer. Ask for getting assigned a case manager. They can handle most problems/situations. Hope this info helps! 💖
Yes
What time
Ever since they started with that B.S. "CoronaBeer virus" 🍺 (LOL 😝 😂), The Stewpot NO longer feeds the homeless INSIDE the building but IF You want to feed the homeless on Your OWN Time, You can do so but it has to be done OUTSIDE of the building. However, there's Our Calling Church and Austin Street Center (2 homeless shelters also in Dallas) that DO Accept volunteers, just call their main office number and ask for Details. ok? Hope this info. Helps You and have a great week too. 🌅 😎
No.
Hi Thomas I really don't know. You will have to call them
For I D get early and ask for services that will get to eye dr and clinic.
Be the first 18 during Monday through Thursday 6am. They start services at 8am.
Hey, I was wondering if the dental office will still see me today
Again, the SAME Q.? 😳 😳 This Q. has been asked so many times again & again & again & again. Here's the SAME Response : You need to have an i.d. (TX Or out of State) to show who YOU are Or some other type of Document to show who YOU are (IF you're a Veteran, a DD-214 will do). They open as early as 8:00am, quite a few people are already lining up outside as early as 6:00am to 7:00am. When you get to the Main window (Reception), you tell him/her that you want to see a Caseworker to get your birth certificate, he/she puts you on the list, And depending how many other Clients are there to see a Caseworker, you'll probably see him/her Before 12noon. Bye. 😎 🎹
Yes they're open on Fridays unless it's a national holiday
Or you can just show up and wait in line be there before 8am that's what I did
Yes took time yes they will help you out with everything you will need just the line process is totally crazy
If you grief is intense enough to cause psychological problems like depression, suicidal conditions etc, then the stewpot offers mental health counseling from metrocare free to assist you
No. You would be able to get a state I'd with the help of stewpot though.
Call them and ask them, I jus got my ID a week ago thru them
No it isn't try The Salvation Army God bless you
I honestly can not tell you
Yes
Calling the social security office for the flag and go back to the Stewpot for a birth certificate voucher
Monday through Friday unless something comes up.
I'm not really sure but I do know the service line doesn't start until 8am. They open their doors at 6am or 6:30am Monday thru Friday. When you get to the line just ask them what times and days they pass out mail. Hope that helps.
She can go to The Bridge or Austin street shelter as long as she as an income she can get housing through either shelter less than 6 months just cause she has an income just go to on of those two shelters in downtown Dallas
You would have to be there at 5am for the 6am sign in. Some people are there as early as 3 am because they only take first 20 clients
For the most of it is safe The popo may be out there at times until they open But what you may see or hear 👂 You will be taking your chance For your safety just stay to yourself You will have to get in line and sometimes others think that they have to get in front of you Their attitudes really stink
We open at 6 am and the clothing closet open at 9 am. It is only open in the morning.
Maybe a Church would help you get back home ?
At 10 till 11 am and then again at 1 till 2 pm.
I've gotten food between 10: 30 am to 11:30 am . Hope it helps
I heard they don't do teeth any more . But I'm not sure it's true. I need a tooth pulled big time! Let me know
Are you talking about replacing your state id? If so they only will give you a voucher for one.
To be honest I don't know myself.
Be in line early they open at six now
You need your birth certificate and a paper saying you are homeless
Open at 7am for coffee sign in starts at 8am FIRST 15 only
No just drivers license and birth certificate
food pantry moved;gettin there won't help,it's somewhere on Cockrell hill road
I am not quite sure and have to go there and ask.
It depends on when the eyeexamener is there I think twice a month he comes you would have to ask for the calendar.yes you can call sometime you can catch someone to pick up sometime you have to leave a message.
surely they can
It's on a REAL RARE occasion when they do. They might STILL be REMODELING inside the place which means, "No they won't be serving any coffee at all." Your BEST Bet is to GO TO The Bridge OR at Austin Street Center Shelter OR at The Salvation Army OR try maybe at Dallas Life.
Yes
I went there to ask about my ID and then helping me I had active warrants and they still continue to help me.
Ask them at The Stewpot (ask them, NOT here 'cause probably most people WON'T know the correct answer). But ask THEM instead (at The Stewpot). Good Luck to you.
I'm 86% sure that it's : Probably NOT, But i really DON'T know the truth about that Q. That seems more like a problem that you have to take to the Social Security Office. Google it to find a S.S. Office in YOUR Nearest zip code area.
They can definitely help you get all those things. They can even pay for them as well. They take the first 12 people at 8 am, however people start lining up as early as 4 am.
It's a long process but try the mission in arlington
Most likely you'll need a SS card. They can help with that was well I believe. It's the DPS that requires the documents not the stewpot.
The stew pot doesn't have a PO Box, however if you are looking to just have mail sent there, the? All you have to do is just start using their address. When you go to pick it up all you do is go at the scheduled times with a valid ID and pick it up.
People are lining up as early as 6:00am just so they can be the first ones to go in, But the place doesn't OPEN until 8:00am. 🕕🕕 🕗🕗
Not sure about that, good question. 🤔🤔 Go IN PERSON to ask them. DON'T bother to call their office number 'cause they NEVER pick up the phone. It'll ring and ring, And sometimes it goes to their Voicemail Box, But Still, they'll NEVER pick up Nor will they return your call. They open 8am to 11:00 OR 11:30 (?), then they close up to go to Lunch, And they open up again at 12:30 OR 1:00 (?), they close at 3:00pm--- every Mondays to Fridays. 😂 😎 Good Luck to you.
Sometimes they will Help you out with DART bus passes (IF they have any available bus passes), BUT... Nowadays because of certain people who LIE about going to a job interview OR an "important appointment", Thanks to certain people who LIE just to get a FREE bus pass, The Stewpot Staff WILL ask for PROOF (Specific name of Manager Or Hiring Manager, And a direct office number), Before their Staff can help you with a FREE bus pass. I think it's FAIR because Thanks to certain LIARS who Only want FREE bus passes (they sell them to then buy beer Or drugs), the Staff has to be careful of who Really NEEDS a bus pass and who DOESN'T need one. Have a Good Monday! 👍 😎
Noon
I think they are felon friendly but call and ask to be safe.
They open as EARLY as 8:00am, So IF you want to Volunteer, Try showing up ANY Time after 8:00am, they're ALWAYS in Need of Volunteers in their clothing area, Or the toiletries area And/Or the shoe area. You DON'T have to stand in line when they OPEN at 8:00am, just go to the front And you can ask at the Main Help Desk that you want to Volunteer for the Day! Their Staff IS Friendly! GOOD LUCK to YOU! 👍👍😎😎🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷 ☕🍪☕🍩☕🍩☕🍪 🙂🙂🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
TRY BOTH The Bridge AND The Stewpot, AND calmly explain your situation to them to see IF they can help you out. Most of the time, what gets people in trouble IS Attitudes: IF you go in there all mad 'cause they're not helping you fast enough, you're gonna get asked to leave, BUT... IF you go in there and calmly ask for help, tell them how you have NO i.d.'s, and be patient, then they will help you as much as they can. Good Luck to YOU! 😎 😎
Your Q. makes absolutely NO sense. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 ????
They have FREE give-away Days for clothes and toiletries Almost every Morning, But i'm NOT sure if they give away FREE food. That's something that YOU have to ask IN Person because The Stewpot NEVER picks up their freaking office phones! Seriously, they NEVER pick up their office phones!
According to a website it is weekdays from 11am-11:30am & 1:30pm-2:30pm
Yes, they do.
They've been here in Dallas for a while.
From 5 am to 8:30 pm
Yes they can...
Maybe, you have to check it out through their contacts at their location
I dont think it's nothing wrong with re answering questions that a bad face🙄... Q: If you don't have any proof how would you then get you TX I'd?
I do believe a woman i know from the streets got her dentures from the stewpot,in fact, she suggested repeatedly that i go and sign up,you go get in line before the door opens and tell the person who comes to ask the people towards front of line why you're there;not as many people there for the dental as are there for ID assistance, etc.,so wont have to in the first 10 in line...
