Surrendered a stray cat that was around our apartment. He was a super friendly cat and whomever ends up with this little guy, will be super lucky! I trust the City of Irving to make sure this furr baby is adopted out to a loving family!

Great place. Lots of people adopting pets, which is Fantastic. Too many homeless pets in the world

I would call them to be sure, but I have seen what some would call a pitt bull at the shelter and normally they only put an animal down as last resort if it has a temperment where it cannot be adopted and a see a man there every time I go and he works with the larger ones to help them to have the nature to get adopted. The last time I was there he was holding one in his lap that was a Pitt bull. It is a great shelter but they are closed on Mondays but you can still speak to someone in animal services and I actually have a gentleman from animal services coming to my house tomorrow
I am not sure, do you have a safe place to stay? I think they are closed on Monday, but try to contact Many helping hands outreach in Irving to see if they can help out. If the shelter doesn't fit your needs maybe many helping hands can help find an individual who can foster your dog until you get back on your feet. Many helping hands can be found on Facebook
guineas are jot farm animals they're fuzzy cage creatures like rabbits. Most shelters put them down..got mine from one off death row bc can't spay them there not specialized in tinies. So a guinea pig group on fb where everyone loves piggies is best they'll jump to help you
I would call and ask.
Call a wildlife rehab NOT a domestic animal shelter
Your hours are until 6:pm, why are you closed at 5:05 pm on Friday ?
Was wonderingvif shelter had room need give cat a home
They might lend you a live trap so you can catch them. You can certainly keep one and bring the others in though.
I don't work there so I don't know all the details. However they have no cost adoptions on occasion throughout the year. Also at the end of every month the last Saturday's are low cost vaccinations. And I don't mean to get into your business however pets can be expensive so if you're strapped for cash for a bit adopting an animal may not be a good choice at the moment. Take it from somebody who has four and it's almost as expensive as children
You can try asking the people at the shelter. Or using an app called Next Door. Also there are various cat rescue groups on Facebook. Sorry that's the best I can do.
🤔 it's not fee to go in there and save a little friend... unless you ready to adopt, maybe.
I don't think they charge you, but you have to wait a long time, for example I took a cat that I caught in a trap that they lent me, and they no longer operate on me and they come to leave me there outside my house, but I got it wait almost 4 hours
Not sure, but there are many discount shot services around Irving. They usually charge about $20-$30 for the package. Check the website, I think a discount shots even is coming up soon. I know this week they are having a Clear the Shelter event. So they may have one soon.
I believe the shelter is full and they are not taking animals. But you can check because this weekend they have their 'Clear the Shelter' event.
Yes, they have both Irving Animal Services and DFW Humane Society in the same building, and it is open to walk in. Masks not required. I had no problem viewing available animals on their website.
You need an exterminator not a shelter. Traps are at the dollar store but they will keep coming in if the hole is not sealed we had rats...traps didn't help at all...sealing up the holes with sheet metal and locking them out did...have to seal the access point....look around outside of house you will find holes to fill
I honestly don't know I don't keep up with the different animal's they have
It depends on what you are bringing your cat for? A vet visit, to surrender it, etc
German shepherds of north Texas Facebook page will help you avoid taking her to the pound.
That's a unique question. I would consider calling first.
All you need is you, the willingness to adopt., and of course ID. Then enjoy your new family member 💝
Most shelters will take an animal back if the situation doesn't work.
Everytime I go there they always have some, but have holds on them from the owners being notified. So you stand a better chance of going to Dallas Animal Service
If you adopt, the dog will always be micro-chipped and is part if the adoption fee. If you want to have them micro-chip an animal the Animal Services Department will have those answers. Here's their website https://www.cityofirving.org/130/About-IAS
I'm sure they do, and you might also call the Petco on MacArthur at Northgate by Tom Thumb because they are always having kitten adoptions
I'm not sure about Pugs, but Irving Animal Services charges $70 per adoption.
The owner surrenders and the lost and found objects can always be accommodated. Call them if you're not sure.
Yes
Although they have an older age limit, if you’re younger you can volunteer with someone above the age limit. I’m below the age limit and I volunteer with my dad.
Take them to the Irving shelter and wait your turn to orphan them. The shelter is not judgemental and will do their best to find them homes.
Pray for that bird of pray. Maybe it was praying while in flight. God bless give the bird the proper burial it deserves.
Call them they run specials all the time.
City of Irving Animal Control
Very good place, well designed and maintained. Very friendly staff.
Take him to the vet!!
I'm not sure I've only taken some dogs there but they are super great people. If you explain your situation I'm sure they will help you out the best they can.
I am so sorry Ana call a veterinarian office they will be able to help you. I am not sure of the process here in Texas I moved here from Mississippi and they had burial and cremation available along with paw prints they did for the familys..
They do or they used to have a lobster on duty on Sundays you might call through the Non-Emergency Police Department and ask them and let them know that you found the puppy in your neighborhood
They work hard not to be. Only in extreme cases of illness or injury
