If you adopt, the dog will always be micro-chipped and is part if the adoption fee. If you want to have them micro-chip an animal the Animal Services Department will have those answers. Here's their website https://www.cityofirving.org/130/About-IAS
Some dogs have micro chips and some do not .. depending on where they came from.
