When called I got the rudest person probably in the entire world. Before I could even finish my sentence she rudely interrupted and said they are very behind and then hung up without letting me even ask my actual question that I had. When I called back I just kept being transferred to automatic messages that said to go online and then disconnect, which you can't ask questions online either. I need a live human person who knows what is going on. I get they are busy and have millions of applications to go through, but at least take the time to answer questions. All I'm wanting to know is if my benefits renewal doesn't get looked at by the end of the month if I loose the benefits and have to reapply or will I have an extension. I already filed the renewal application.

No matter when you call they never respond. It's always to voicemail. They also always send mail days before they require you to respond and make it difficult to upload anything online.

I am legally blind and they for months refused to give me an option to correspond with them that I can do independently I find this to be pretty sad and offensive not to mention possibly illegal if not it sure should be. I requested audio or text to speech or electronic and they refused this very bluntly stops and newly blind or severely visually impaired person from being able to communicate or reply to any correspondences, therefore effectively preventing any real chance of getting assistance based solely on the fact of the persons disability. No telling how many others like me deal with this but I find FEMA and several other local and federal agencies already the same to my amazement. It least some like social security ect give you options like audio correspondence or send you CD's but here if you are blind you are told there are no options.
