I had probably the best DMV experience I've ever had at this location! I converted my out-of-state driver's license to a DC driver's license and it was quick and painless. I arrived about an hour before close and only waited maybe 10-15 mins to get service. I will say, as long as you have ALL the necessary paperwork to get a new license, it really is not difficult. I brought my old license, passport, copy of my lease, and a recent paper internet bill, as well as the official dmv license application from their website.

J Simmons (I hope that’s the right name) was very helpful! She wasn’t the normal DMV employee you expect to encounter when you walk in. She was pleasant, hospitable, and very efficient at her job! She made my trip to the DMV worth while & easy. Shout out to her!

Terrible customer service. I’ve never been treated and spoken to so poorly.

Lamont hopson what is the cost for a non license I'd for seniors
Can I take the CDL Lerner's permit test at Washington Place?
Can you get tags at the Rhode island dmv
The short answer is no. It's President day weekend and holiday supposed to be on Monday but since DMV usually closes every Monday, they close Saturday instead
Yes
Birth Certificate or valid passport, Social security Card and 2 proofs of residence that prove one's legal resident of D.C.
Walk in service
A staggering amount of documentation. Go to the DC DMV website to see the list of documents they'll accept for each category. https://dmv.dc.gov/service/driver-licenses
Go to your local police station and they will give you as many parking passes that you need
Study materials online dmv.dc.gov. I just studied the test a couple times but you have to cycle the practice test about 7 to eight times bc the questions change. I did that and i passed.after that go to rhode island ave and take your test. If you pass, you get your license right after. If you fail, you have to wait 2 days to take it again. The test is $10 and the license is $47. I also think you can take the test @other locations, but you have to find that out yourself.
How much is a non drivers license going to cost me
Yes you can. you will need to bring documentation of your full name date of birth, social security number and driver's license number and a photocopy of your identification.
Go to the DMV website, it will provide you with the information.
Buy the insurance first, the take your title with you and the insurance information, and go to register the car, don't forget to bring money, a lot of money, this guys are hungry.
I did the opposite last week, went from two people on the auto title to one, and I had to get a DC DMV power of attorney document to authorize it. There was no notary required and I got the document from the DMV facility. Not sure if it’ll be the same process for you, but it did work for me.
U Can Go On Line And Get It Immediately For About $12
There Are Little To No Lines Now At DMV Which Is Great!!!
Yes. Just bring two documents to verify your current DC residence. You can check the list of acceptable documents through the DC DMC website.
No it doesn't matter.
Depends. #1 is the previous license expired for more than 180 days you will have to take a knowledge test and then schdule a road test, but if over 21 you skip provisional and get a full license. #2 if transferring a license from another state you're in and out if you have no outstanding fines. #3 if you never had a license you have to take knowledge test, complete a driving form, road test, then get provisional license
Having difficulty with that issue myself. If it is a designated SERVICE CENTER. Then YES.
It cost $20.00
Yes for now they do walk-ins
According to their website you can get a real id driver's license

Horrible. No seats for the seniors. The security Guard has no respect for no one not even the seniors.I guess if you have a pistol on your hip you can say anything.I would never take my senior there at all. You are rushed once you get inside. Mayor Boswer will get a letter from me about my experience at DC MVA at Rhode Island Ave.
Yes go to the DMV website and report it lost/stolen and or call directly. They will most likely send you a new one. However, I'm not sure if this is something you would need to go in person for. I think for something like this everything can be handled online. Avoiding the in person visit
Appointment only
Don't know. The website has that info
No, they only take appointments and will turn you away if you don't have one. They post new appointment spots at noon Tuesdays and was able to snag one for 2 weeks later. Otherwise the appointments are all the way into next year.

Wait for 2 years or: If you have received a moving violation in Washington, DC, then you may be eligible to attend a DC DMV approved online defensive driving course to have the points removed from your driving record. The online course can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience. Prior approval from a DC Department of Motor Vehicles' Hearing Examiner is required before taking the course to have points removed. You must contest the ticket by adjudicating by mail or in person in order to receive approval for traffic school from a hearing examiner. In your adjudication request, you must specifically request that the points be waived for the ticket. Note that approval for traffic school is discretionary. The hearing examiner will consider your driver record and the seriousness of the violation in deciding whether to approve you for the course. If you are approved, the hearing examiner's decision on the ticket will reflect "Liable Traffic School Approved."
You have to go to a DMV. They have accommodations for your age and condition. They will issue a temporary identification.
You can pay online via DC DMV website or pay at the adjudication services at enfant Plaza
