There are two ways. 1. Call 311 to the call center. Someone will help you make the appointment. 2. Go to MVA.DC.Gov to make in on the computer.

Birth certificate, SSA card, 2 proofs of residency.

Two forms of ID (photo ID, SS card, birth cert and a few others will work), proof of residence (current housing lease, mail up to 6 months old bank statements and pay stubs) and that should be it. Id's are fairly simple.

Tuesdays and Saturdays. They open at 9:15 on Wednesdays.

Bring your ID and the tags to this location and see the front desk. It's a super quick process.

Yes it's still appointment only and the next available appointments are in March unfortunately. You can go online at dmv.dc.gov and renew your id. You just have to have your id number and other personal information. You have to pay with a debit or credit card. Good luck to you!

Unfortunately I believe you have to do it in person. They give you the checklist on the DCDMV web site. If you go there and want an appointment wait until after 12:00 noon today and try to schedule it then. After 12 on Tuesdays they add new appointments.
