If it's an emergency VISA then you can directly go to the embassy and submit your passport. If your VISA application is under regular processing time then you can go to CKGS office on 23rd street and submit your passport. I would suggest to call CKGS before you head out to their 23rd street office.

Yes. After submitting your application online, you can schedule it. If you go before your appointment date, they can charge you extra.

If you're Pakistani born, you don't have to renounce anything unless if you ever held indian passport. You can get 30 days on arrival visa but have to submit online application on ckgs which I believe should be better option unless you want longer period visa.

10 Years is not a visa, its called Permit. U should visit CKGS office for further details.

Yes you can travel. You'd have to take both the passports, other than that really no reason to get it transferred to the new pp.

What type of Visa are you referring to ? The question is not clear for me to answer. Are you applying for parents who are in India ?

I recently renewed. Took 10 business days to get the new passport. Instructions in their website is clear, call their helpline if any questions.

Not having a visa shouldn't restrict you from being able to make reservations. You can book airline or cruise tickets before or after securing the visa.

It won't matter. Your passport will be renewed for 10 years regardless. I don't remember filling that up when recently renewing my passport. Please also make sure you've got the right forms to fill in.
