I have a 10 years indian visa. My old american passport expired. I have a new passport. The indian visa is on the old passport. Can I travel to india with both passports.

Yes you can travel. You'd have to take both the passports, other than that really no reason to get it transferred to the new pp.

As long as you have validity on your Visa and you have an active valid passport, you can travel. Your visa doesn't have to be on your valid passport.

I think, the answer is Yes. Carry both the old passport with valid visa and current valid passort. Also, call CKGS to double check.

I recently traveled two times Nov 2017 and Dec 2017. With new us passport and visa in old passport. In Dec when I went to india in abudhabi they said Indian visa has expired passport number and then after 5 min. They let me go. In india no problem with immigration. Good luck
