My husband was born in Croatia. We live in NY and he is an American citizen with a Domovnica from Croatia. We plan to travel to Croatia in the next month and he plans to apply for a Croatian passport while there. What papers does he need? Thank you.

It depends on what bases you are applying, heritage, merrage, etc. It is a process that includes translating documents, apposil stamps, etc. I would suggest you go to Croatian ambasy web site, you will find all the information you might need.
