A disgraceful service for Visas, as all the reviewers said below. Don't bother paying for priority service, because that means nothing, and you won't get an answer by that timeframe. Don't bother attempting to reach anyone by phone, because your automated options keep bringing you back to the original message. Don't bother booking a trip, because you'll have to cancel it. Just sit back and hope and pray you'll one day get your passport back with a useless Visa.
Robin Singleton
Nobody answers the phone . The automated options just shunt you to their website, no matter what issue you need addressed - and they charge you for it! Absolutely pathetic.

Biometrics done 7/6 and got email that application received on 7/7. To date nothing from Consulate. Had to cancel my trip. Total waste of money and time. Visa going to be useless.

U have to say i m a permanent resident no a gren card holder is better bro
No, so you should do EXTENSIVE research. They do not necessarily list everything you need to know on their website. I didn't know that I needed to send my documents through a specific carrier until I found that information deep in their Google reviews and confirmed on their Twitter.
I am a green card holder will like to visit England
Hi what are the required documented needed to apply for a visa if u are a green card holder
what visa requirement is needed for an indefinite stay in the U.K. as a U.S. citizen
I am in possession of a valid travel document to UK; do I need a visa?
Where are you going and how long are you planning on staying?
Did you get the passport because I’m going through the same thing
I have the same question. I don’t know the address. Any body can tell me please the mailing address to where I have to send my application ?
Ok thank you for your help
Go to their website. Is the only way to get it. No phone calls. No human help. Good luck!!
How i can do fingerprints and how to pay fee for biometric test. Because i don't find any link on the site.
Her Majesty's Passport Office in Durham, UK is the sole issuer of British Passports and renewals. You will receive no help from the British Consulate General in New York. Go to the HMPO Gov.UK website and follow the instructions on how to renew your UK passport abroad. Follow the process for renewal exactly as it is stated and you should have your new passport within 3 months or less. Processing has been taking longer due to their COVID backlog. Best of luck.
Sent through VFS to the address thar automatically gets put on the UPS mail label by them. Got UPS CONFIRMATION OF DELIVERY. No email avknowledging receipt ...delivered on 8th Jan. Today is 22 Jan.
I have the same question Any one can help please. What is the address?
Hello, kindly visit your nearest country embassy for further support
I think so I called and made a appointment for next day
Unfortunately you need an appointment.
I suggest that you get in contact with Immigration and Naturalization Services with regards to your inquiry for travel to the U.K. They should be the best resource for your questions as a U.S. citizen.
No - you only need to show your vaccination certificate at check in. However, within 2 days of landing in the UK you'll need to get a Covid test from an authorized testing provider and this needs to be arranged before you travel. A link to the authorized testing providers should be available on the UK travel website or your airline's website. No earlier than 48 hours before you travel but certainly before you check in you'll need to complete a "UK passenger locator form" (a link should be available from your airline's website but if not it's googlable). Once you've booked your PCR test in the UK, completed the UK passenger locator form and printed off your vaccination certificate, you're all set. To get back into the US you'll need a negative PCR test in hand before check in and the test needs to have been taken within 72 hours of your return flight.
Probably not. Once the visa has been reviewed and approved or denied you'll probably be able to contact them, explain your situation and have the passport returned at that point. You may be able to contact them to request the passport back but this will more than likely disrupt the visa application and result in an immediate decline. Id suggest just phoning them and asking the question and what the repercussions would be.
You have to follow the steps, book an appointment at your closest British Embassy/counselate and then go in and pay £100 https://www.gov.uk/emergency-travel-document The link above takes you through the process
Your green card is not a valid document to enter the UK. You require a passport to enter the UK.
Little late answer ,but you don't need something else if you stay for up to 6 months there. https://www.traveldocs.com/expedited-visa-services/united-kingdom-visa-processing-country234

Thanks John. Btw, what if the US citizen wants to stay in UK more than 6 months or a year, does the person require VISA?
yes you do.
UK authorities don't need 6 months on your passport. Check with your airline too though
Yes I think so, you have to apply online
No
Of course just manage your time and make sure you have all documentation in order like return ticket to the US or India and some ca$h ot credit card if asked enjoy cheers!

Hello Celeste, it really depends which service you used to apply for your visa. Did you purchase and send along with your application the prepaid return courier? If yes, then the consulate will return your passport to your mailing/residential address. You can track it through the courier service you purchased. If you used the premium service VSB Global, then they would email/call you to come and collect your passport from their offices. Where did you take biometrics and fingerprints? If this is unclear. You can go to the visa4uk website, log in and send an email or call them to get more information on how you can get your passport. Kind regards,
The Most Horrible Visa Experience ever

We are also looking for UK passport certification for our two young sons and unsure how to proceed. We live in NYC and can not send their passports away as need them to travel in coming weeks. Advice appreciated.
Nope
It took mine about a full week after i got the receipt email. I applied in Feb.
Did mine via mail service.
Yes, you need a transit visa if you are not a resident of the US. If so, you have 24 hours to make your transfer without a transit visa. This info is also in the website but I personally had experience this.
Don't waist your time calling. You are better of emailing them. Good luck!
I just wasnt sure as thanksgiving isnt a British holiday, but thank you for ur help!
To start it will depend of where are you from. Your only resource will be their website, I do not like to give this answer but it is what it is. Just follow all the steps and make sure you have at lease 5 weeks before your trip. They have an expedite service but is pricey.
I am not certain u can. I believe u need to take it from ur from your home country.
Yes
Passport is enough... just check for validity restrictions
Check the website. You will find information.
