I've been reading about Gilmore and the Model A Ford museum for a long time. I finally got to go and I was not disappointed. Had a great Brass car show going on which was a bonus. Well laid out and the guides were very helpful. Would go back again.

We loved the museum! The staff was so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The museum's display of cars is both beautiful and extensive. The buildings and barns that hold the cars are beautiful and well maintained. Our 8 yr old enjoyed the interactive activities located throughout the museum. We've visited a few auto museums, and the Gilmore is definitely one of our favorites.

This is by far one of the finest car museums in the country. They have multiple buildings to highlight and have examples of many different kinds of vehicles. And they are in the process of building a muscle car museum of the finest sort. This a MUST visit if you are a car enthusiasts or just love the history of the developments of the automobile. They also have the finest car shows in West Michigan.

If you can plan your trip here well in advance, you can try to access special features they offer. Be sure to visit the website to see the full list of options on certain days and times. I took my father here and participated in the Model T driving school. The experience was fantastic and well worth it. We're going to have to go back again because we didn't actually see all of the exhibits due to the couple hours the driving experience took. The museum and the exhibits are impeccably well maintained. The outdoor paths are smooth and well cared for as well. The 1940's diner was beautiful and a nice touch added to the property. The staff was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. It was easy to see that even the volunteers there REALLY enjoy being a part of the Gilmore experience which makes the visit even more pleasant. One small touch I appreciated was that in each building/section there were at least a couple places that my dad could sit down and rest for as long as he needed and most of the time the spot would have a spectacular view of whichever collection you were currently viewing...so it was like he was still actively a part of the visit during those resting times. I highly recommend the Gilmore Car Museum.

Well worth the cost of $13 for adults and $10 for young people under 18.
Plenty of parking for a motorhome, go on Wednesday afternoon and then stay for cruise night at 5 p.m. free and it's one heck of a car show
They are open Monday through Friday 9-5, sat Sunday till 6. It's 15 per audit check out there web site
As two previous local guides stated. Yes they are open on the weekend. It's always good to check website or call ahead to confirm what exhibits are open.
I will return in the springtime also. Good place to explore for a day or two especially if you're like automobiles
Tucker #47 is on display, in-between the 20s/30s building and the 40s/50s building, along with a Tucker engine.
They are open til 6pm on Saturdays.
I don't know but there's so many that go there, I'm sure you'd find some help to the right person
Most certainly. 300 cars during a rainy 1st year. Check the website for the 2019 date
Yes, a number of memberships are available. Please call for prices. If you plan to go there more than a couple of times a year it is well worth it.
Not really... it's American history more than anything.. and it's a great experience. Especially the Corvettes and Cadillacs.
Yes, the display is in the area outside the gift shop.
I heard over 800 vehicles last Wednesday, a lot to see .
No there is no charge to attend the cruise night, last night was my first for this year it was the biggest I have attended to date. They had a band that was good and the burgers were ok but the cars oh man lots of cars.
You can pay with a card to enter the museum. The car show part after hours I went to did not have a cost. But they also accepted a card for food there, so cards should hopefully work regardless.
I did not see ir
Yes. Check out their website for location and rates.
Pretty sure they don't sell parts but I could be mistaken, better to call the Museum direct for an accurate answer good luck.
$16 adults, $11 youth 11-17, free 10 and under and free active military with ID.
I'm sure you could easily use a scooter without a problem. The buildings and grounds are modern and accessable to wheelchairs and scooters. They are all one story. You'll have a great time.
They are open daily. 10am-5pm. If you haven't been, it's with it!
$15 for adults $10 youth well worth it
Still Gilmore
Currently, there is a muscle car display in the Baum Gallery, off of the 40s/50s building. The dedicated Muscle Car building has not been built yet. There are signs stating they are going to build it along with the row on the south end of the complex, but they have also been thinking of building it on the west end near the Train Depot
Yes
There are certain cars that are available for sponsorship/adoption. There's a sign right next to the ticket counter when you walk in with cars available and costs for each (they differ by car). You just tell them when you buy your ticket which car you'd like to sponsor.
I dont believe there are carts or other vehicles for rent. you can always call and ask.
You're probably could but I would NOT want to risk hitting somebody's car.
You may want to check the website.
Yes they have self contained or primitive camping on site
I would still go it's an amazing museum then go back in the warmer months.
YES self contained and primitive camping on site
Yes they have one. Oldest car I have is a 1958 Edsel The oldest they have is the Benz 1891
It's actually French, which i don't speak either. Using Google translate tells me they're asking how to get to the Gilmore Museum from Cornwald. I don't know where that is so i can't help. We used Google maps for directions, and there is a big sign (Google would have you drive past their parking lot coming from the East) C'est en fait français, dont je ne parle pas non plus.
He sure will. The whole layout from the cars to the grounds to the gift shop is worth the trip. He will enjoy this place.
I think you'll be able to see everything you want to see in four hours. It'll be a great experience.
You could take most of a day, it only took us 2-3 hours as we didn't want to see everything. We just looked at things that interested us.
The only discount for non members is a two consecutive days ticket.
The website says only closed for Christmas New Years and Easter hours are 9am to 5pm
