Yep! It is a veey chill and friendly community. I was there for a few hours and even saq that you could rent them. Many security four wheelers went by occasionally and didnt say anything to those that had them. Some people even set up tents

No glass, everyone carries their alcohol around with them. If it's not in a marked container and you aren't being crazy, who's to say what you're drinking. Have fun, it's a laid back place.

The surf shop on the island is named High Tide surf shop . They say the waves are only rideable at High tide and best on a full moon or during a storm .

If memory serves me correct, ages 16 and under are free, and the pier also if Tybee hasn't changed their rules, you only have to pay for parking...just make sure YOU don't touch his pole so that you won't get charged by FISH and WILDLIFE officials..hope this helps, be blessed .

Download the Park TYB app and create an account with your phone #. Park where there are Park TYB decals and signs. Enter your license plate and length of stay. Pay from your phone or extend your time. Without the app there are plenty of curbside parking places with meters nearby.

We went to a convenience store a few blocks from the pier.

They do not have any showers, they have a rinse station/faucet but no showers.... It's near the round about.

There are no showers at the pier. There are several shower spouts placed at the walkways that go out to the beach to rinse feet and legs off.

There is an outside shower in the parking lot for rinsing off sand. You could rinse off then go to the bathrooms up on the pier and change clothes.

I'm sure never seen anyone horse back on the beach.

Charges for parking, if your driving anything bigger than a regular car, (we drove our RV) you can use the metered parking on the roads. We took up 2 spots and paid for a few hours. You will need lots of quarters, Lol! We were not prepared for that as most meters will take a card now days. Theirs do not. Also, other change did not register in the meters, just quarters and the convience stores "do not give change". Great beach though!

No, all parking is paid. The parking spots are only designed for vehicles.

You can also rent them at the beach, but I dont know how much they are. I think it would be better to buy one at a store, just be sure you have the little holder that you stick in the sand to put you umbrella in.
