Great campground, nice playground on Lakeside, very rough sites absolutely No grass at all, Lots not marked well should have done something temporary, mark the electrical panel or escort. Clean bathrooms, Trim trees, Wi-fi needed, I only saw 1 grounds keeper out of 5 days. Very nice at office.

If you like being right on top of your camp neighbors this is for you! Absolutely no privacy, there's 5ft between my fire pit and my neighbors car. Drove 3.5 hours and was unimpressed. However, the park staff were very friendly and helpful, the view is great and many food options nearby if you want to venture out to eat, with a store right across the street! I stayed at lower loop, not sure how the other one is, as I just found out there is 2 lol

It's a nice Campground with a beach however most of the best things to see are across the lake inside Silver Lake Dunes State Park but I also suggest you stop and see the little Sable lighthouse which is just south of the dunes and state park.

The camp sites are very uneven, the bathrooms were absolutely dreadful, and the optional outhouse stations are what you expect. The “playground “ had zero things for toddlers and the slides were burning hot. However the location was nice and the price is right.

Thete are many privately owned homes and cottages to rent. We have friends that are renting a house on the channel starting today.
Yes. There are great restroom and shower facilities. They are kept clean. My wife who normally hates most campground bathrooms, loves the ones at Silver Lake SP.

Only rule I have heard is no barking or you will be asked to leave. Not sure on the breed thing. Sorry. You can call them and check.
Is there sites where you can hang your hammock??
Ditto
Sites 1-13 are closest to the lake but the second row of 43-61 also have great views of the lake as well.
Yes
Thanks for the info. Just wanted to know if people were gouging wood prices.
Two campgrounds I believe, one on the lake side amd then one across the street. I do not know the size entirely.
The scramble area is very small and takes about a 1/2 hour to completely get bored with. Didn't notice any non street legal vehicles on the roads. You have to go through town between dunes and campground (a couple of miles) and the DNR and local cops are itchy to write tickets.
