This park is beautiful but it needs some TLC. We were there 2times in 2 weeks we stayed in the same spot and the bathhouse was very clean but never had paper towels π§».

Pretty decent park. They have these very cool water slides that I guess have been out of commission for years. What a waste of entertainment for visitors. Overall, an ok park. Those water slides attractions would be a hit.

Stopped in as we were traveling thru. We love to find places like this in our travels. Checked it out and explored a little bit. The camp grounds look great and the lake was amazing. They had a great swimming pool with a water slide it was amazing.

Hiked some of the trails and climber lookout tower. Gorgeous lake with decently maintained camp sight. Great place to get lost

Not any buildings, including cabins, but pets are allowed everywhere else on leashes.
I think there's a no-pet policy in cabins and the hotel, but you should call the park office to confirm. It's closed now, but keeps typical daytime hours, at (601) 732-6316.
Not very deep between the water slide & the pier. Unless you can get further out with a reel. The other places is about 5ft like Dakota said.
The current MWFP pdf says $11 for the waterslide per day/person. To swim in the pool is $6 (13 and older) or $4 (kids 3-12). There's a free swimming area of the lake, but it's for campers only.
I love that place so nice and I go every chance I get I stayed at the Cabins only
I'm not sure but I think "Premium" is waterfront and "Standard" is away from the waterfront.
Yes, there are 2. One near the camping area on the back side of the lake (take left) and one if you turn right coming into the park. Both are relatively new and in great condition.
No
We did not see bait available but with COVID completing now, I'd call and ask them directly. The place is so worth it. We could see signs of fish from the water's edge.
You could start with any of the workers stationed throughout the park, they are everywhere. If you can't find them, try the cluster of public use buildings up front, there is always typically someone up there.
You should call the park office and ask (601) 732-6316. They used to rent canoes and paddleboats, not sure if either are available now.
They have fire pits for their primitive sites, asking as there is not a burn ban in effect
I do not know about trick or treating but I believe they do decorate their campers.
Good
Talk to your Ms. District Representative. I will see that local representative Tom Miles knows about this.
We fished there in October. Just make sure to have a fishing license
You just go find a site and go pay at office in the morning. Always best to let them know you will arrive after hours. Campground is first left after passing ranger station!
Yes, bring utensils they are usually very short on them.
You should contact the office with this one. Those of us out here in cyberspace can't possibly answer that one unless we work there.
Everyone's taking a shower at the same time probably
I think you can do the pool separate from the slide. It was quite reasonable the last time we tried it.
The campground roads are all paved, should be fine for vehicles and campers.
I believe pets are allowed on leash and you must pick up after them.
Sometimes..you do want them to clean up a little if someone stayed the night before.
Not after 10 pm
We do have power
Not positive, but It doesn't seem to be addressed in park rules, as it is on some park sites.
No
Not anymore, no rental
Yes
Their is a concession stand by the pool where you pay .. It's about 15 dollars for the pool and slide..Opens at 9 closes at 5.
I don't think so. There are 2-3 conv. stores 2 minutes outside the park.
No,they don't
The old rickety fire tower is closed, fenced and boarded up. But there's a nice new observation towe. The stairs for it are kept locked overnight, but rangers open it for daylight hours.
