Beautiful beaches! We found a few little petoskey pebbles, so that made me happy. Bathrooms were clean. I didn't see any showers to wash off the sand, but maybe that's normal for the great lakes? It cost 10 dollars for our out of state entrance. I would go back!

Awesome beach, very large, lots of parking. Concession stand, restrooms and changing rooms. They also rent kayaks and some other water sport equipment.

All Michigan State Parks require a Recreation Passport. For in-state residents it's $16 out of state $32. Good for one year. Only one needed per vehicle entering park.
Petoskey State Park can accommodate your RV. They have enough 2 campgrounds in the park. You will want to reserve a site in the Tannery campground. It's for large RVs. All sites in the Tannery have paved pads and many are pull - thru. The other campground in the park is called the Dunes. The Dunes is mostly for tenters and pop-up trailers. Both campgrounds have easy access to the beach. If you are going during the summer, and plan on staying over a weekend, you need to make reservations ASAP as the park operates at near 100% during the summer months. It is by far the nicest park in Petoskey
Not on the beach and the dog must be on a leash not longer than 6ft at all times.
Im sure you can. Contact the park service and ask.
All sites have electricity, but only a couple dozen or so have 50 amp. There are no water hook ups. They have a fill/dump station near the campground office.
I don't know about a fee for a bicycle but for a car is $10
Bathrooms, stand up paddle board. Changing rooms all at Petoskey state park.
Main camping area is paved. Saw some larger units in main campground.
I doubt it. why why would you even take an electric golf cart to the beach
I don't believe that there are rustic cabins for rent. I believe there is only a campground for your own tent or camping vehicle. I don't know what the rate is, I've never camped there.
Electric only
There seemed to many places to picnic past the campground area, near the beach.
There is a sand path that leads from the park to the lake but I did not see a concrete path directly to the water.... I believe you have to drive around to the parking lot adjacent to the lake.
Fall colors buddy
Butterfly Bush or anything with small bell shaped flowers
You will need to call as prices vary by date.
You have to pay for a campsite. But the beach area closes at 10 so you wouldn't be able to park there and sleep
A lot in the camping areas. Not as much on the beach, but there is a public pavilion with picnic tables
It's considered an unlawful act to build a fire in state parks and recreation areas in Michigan. However, if there's a designated place for this, you may go ahead with it, but do confirm and get permission from the authorities beforehand.
There many lakes around that you can go to for free. South of Brutus, in Oden, there is Crooked Lake. You can also go to Magnus Park which is a free city park. South of Petoskey there is Waloon Lake. The state parks are nicer, they have the sandy beaches and bathrooms.
Call office
Warren Dunes State Park. That's within 3-3.5hrs drive from Southfield .
