We just want to say THANK YOU to all the people at Ryan Vet. Especially the ophthalmology department! From Day 1 the team was informative, passionate, and caring. Winnie is an English Bulldog and we were very concerned about her being under anesthesia during surgery. The Ophthalmology team kept us in the loop during the entire process! Winnie's eyesight has become noticeably better since the surgery that was only a short 10 days ago! We couldn't recommend Ryan Vet enough to all our fellow short nose dogs! They truly take care of them from start to finish. She was smiling the same day even with a cone on! Special shout out to Vet Student Gabby A. She was very informative and spoke to us in a manner to keep us calm!

We brought our 1 year old Shih Tzu in with an ulcer on his eye. Turns out it was an embedded seed and they removed it. He would need surgery to patch the hole. They recommended he stay overnight as a precaution as his eye could perforate.. it did overnight and surgery was performed the next day to graft the hole. It was a sucess. Thank you so much for your top notch care.

My experience 12/20/21, Dr. Piegols saved my dog, fixed herniations crushed at L1. Rudy recovered with work in 8 months. 9/2/22, we returned, another injury to back. Rudy walked in. Not great. But 9 hours waiting, not even an X-ray. The resident laughed off that I said his legs stopped working and had foot drop. We drove home to Allentown, Rudy's legs were completely paralyzed. I begged for an MRI. How did my dog walk in and came out paralyzed, when he was walking?. He could not urinate, paralyzed. They did nothing. Left him sit for 9 hours on his last day of life. He woke up unable to move, and I had to Euthanize. I will be filing a complaint with the State department against the young resident. Who laughed at me when I said Rudy was not ok. His Labor day vacation was more important than my dog's health. Now my 6 year old is dead.

I waited to “see a student” for a simple ear infection. I finally heard back from my vet and took my dog there, the place seemed like a mess anyway. I later received a bill for $1,400…Incompetent is an understatement.

Why do some dogs get excited and drag or rub ear on ground while running in small circles?
They have two parking lots and on Monday to Friday there is Valet Parking from 7am to 4pm
Please call and speak to a vet and don't ask random people on the internet.
Yes. Ryan hospital is part of UPenn vet school so students will do rotations there
No you should drop it of to the local shelter or RSPCA
We sure do!
It really depends on the extent of the injuries.
Penn Veterinary Hospital ER is open 24/7.
They are open every day, but some Drs. Are off on certain days, your best bet is to call for the hours and Dr. Availability.
Excellent pet doesn't get any better
Lol vets suck over here..thats why i need a specialist
Call the main office line - strangers on the internet can't help you with this. I called, they told me the price range.
Don't look for answers online for your healthcare or for your dogs healthcare, Penn veterinary Hospital is the best there is in this country. You will get real answers to your questions, it may not be what you want to hear sometimes but they are the best.
You would have to call and ask them, but they can help with payments too if you qualify.
Please listen to the advice of your veterinarian or schedule an appointment with Ryan Hospital's general practice for a second opinion.
You can be surprised either way. It truly does vary like Melissa said. But its definitely worth it ... Penn is the top vet in the entire nation
