I have never been so disturbed or upset after a vet appointment. We went to O’Neil after recently moving to the area and seeing all the positive reviews online. Dr. Littlejohn started the appointment shaking our cat out of the carrier and saying “stop acting like a girl, you’re a boy. Or well, you used to be”. He then proceeded to aggressively handle our cat and throughout the remainder of the appointment. At one point he tried to get a urine sample, and after I told him our cat very recently went to the bathroom, he continued trying saying he “didn’t like to be foiled” despite our cats clear discomfort. Our cat has been to many vets before where he has always been called agreeable, sweet, and malleable. Here, we were told he was twitchy, squirmy, and difficult. Dr. Littlejohn seems like he is set in a very “old school” intense way of veterinary practice that does not care about pets comfort or client care. I have never written a negative review before, but this experience was so shocking that I want to help other pet owners avoid what we experienced.

Literally the worst vet I've ever been to. Disgustingly dirty and unsanitary. The room was a huge mess when we came in and the vet was just throwing trash around. There was an uncapped syringe on the counter when we came in and a disgusting used comb covered in who knows what that the vet then used to brush my cat without washing it first. No gloves were worn by anyone and at one point the vet was waving an uncapped needle in his hand while also holding a light to look into my cat's eye. Everyone was super rude and unprofessional, our appointment was over an hour late. I wish I could give it zero out of 5 stars, please take your animals literally anywhere else if you can.

Everyone here is incredibly helpful. I've been going to Dr. Littlejohn with my pets for almost 20 years. They have helped us through everything from fleas to putting our beloved dog to sleep at the age of 16. Both Pete and Dr. Littlejohn are adept at handling animals and compassionate at dealing with pet parents.

The best Vets. When I get another pet, this will be my vet of choice!

Oneal is excellent. Price is lower than most. I have been a happy customer since 1969. Multiple dogs and always felt they were well cared for.
Please make an appointment. If people with appointments are there they will be seen first. I will answer your questions thoroughly so if you have many things to discuss that will take time. Thanks David Littlejohn VMD
I never had our dog tail cut..sorry i could not help
I have not had to do that...so i really didn't know
I believe they can treat stuff like this at O'Neill.
Don't know for sure think they do just call them they are very helpful.
He might have a condition that needs to be checked out by a Vet. O'Neal's is an excellent place to take him.
Sorry I didn't respond to this question on Saturday but I know I addressed this issue for you already.
If weaning from mother, periodically try wiping kittens little backside (like momma) with damp paper towel and place it in s small litter pan. Keep little kitten mostly in confined comfy area, like crate or gated- use light litter, change often. Hope this helps.
Vaccinations begin at 8 weeks. The kittens should be checked for FeLV and FIV The traditional time to spay kittens and puppies is 6 months. Spay neuter clinics will do them at a much earlier age but their only goal is to stop pet over population. If you keep your cat indoors and don't let them breed you can get them neutered at the later time and accomplish the same goal. If you want continuity of care come to O'Neal Animal Hospital. I will be doing the exams and surgery myself with my long time assistants Ann and Pete. Thanks Dr. Littlejohn
Hi, You should call the vet. He might answer here, but this is a site run by Google, not the veterinarian's office.
Then I would suggest that you should call them instead of posting here. I don't work there so I can't say a hundred percent for sure, but that's how I always get in touch with them. By the way, I think dr. Littlejohn is an awesome vet. :-)
