Love this place and the staff! Always have a variety of cats and dogs to choose from definitely a good place to adopt a new pet.

happy to give this little guy his forever home 🤍

How come nobody answers the phone or return messages here? It's ridiculous nobody answers the phone or emails here. You can call at different times and same thing. Yet make time to respond to a Google review 🤔 in response to the owner ; I have emailed already, 4 days ago

Many thanks for your friendly and efficient TNR program. It is a great service.

Yes, I am pretty sure they will take your pet and euthanize him/her if you take him/her to the front counter and explain why you want to take this very depressing step. But I am not sure how much they would charge you or if they do it for free. Or perhaps you can have this procedure done at the veterinarian's office so that you can be there to say farewell to him/her. After all, a pet is a family member not an old dress or an old pare of shoes that you can just discard simply because you are tired of wearing them or because you have just purchased new ones. Show him/her some mercy and don't just think of yourself.
Yes there is an adoption fee which includes spay/neuter, shots & microchip. Check website for fees.
I am not really sure if they stil have this dog available but I suggest that you go to this facility in person and ask somebody at the front counter for assistance.
Sometimes yes you have to go down there and see what's available
Yes you just have to fill out the surrender form on the Morris website and the intake team will get a hold of you to schedule the intake
Contact them directly regarding their process for accepting surrendered dogs. Sorry you have to re-home your friend. Good luck.
No, but it is common practice to make a donation. Good luck.
They accept most things with no problem. I even donated dog food
Yes to all the above. They're a great group of people! I highly recommend them.
I am not sure how much adoptions cost here but in reality, you are not paying for the cat himself only for the services that are needed for the adoption process which include: shots microchipping, and a voucher to see a doctor within 3 days after leaving the shelter. But if the cat has the flu for example, you have to pay for his treatment separately. I suggest that you go to the shelter in person, take a tour of the cattery and when you find the cat you are interested in adopting write down the animal ID number, take a photo of him if possible and take them to an officer or to an animal care technician at the front counter. Fill out the paperwork, pay the adoption fee which is around $76.00 just like they charge here at LA animal services and they should tell you when you can take him home Sterilization is also included in the adoption fee as a general rule. Good luck!
The selection varies and some times they have puppies too young to adopt out so they will have them in foster care and won't list them on the website until they can be fixed and have most of their shots done. If you are considering only a puppy, fill out the pet wish list on their website, they can contact you when they have puppies.
To tell you the truth I am not sure of how much it would cost to adopt a kitten from this shelter, maybe around $76.00 just like they charge here at LA animal services. But in reality, they don't charge you for the kitten himself they charge you for the services that are required for the adoption process to be completed. These services include: sterilization, vaccination, microchipping and a vowcher to be checked by a veterinarian within 3 days after coming out of the shelter, if he is sick you have to pay for his treatment separately. Go to the shelter in person, take a tour of the cat room, write down the animal identification number of the cat you liked, take a photo of him if possible and take them to someone at the front counter for help. Fill out the paper work, pay the fee and take it from there. Good luck to you!
While I'm familiar with Morris Animal Refuge and have been happy with services they've rendered, I don't know if they accept volunteers.
Try Forgotten Friends Reptile Rescue or Ill Exotics. I also have a friend who lost hers who might be willing to adopt
Yes you can
They have adoption events and specials where the fees are free or discounted, recently they participated National Clear Out Shelters Day which had free at most shelters.
I did check website yesterday & I didn't see any bigger dogs except for 3 pit mixes but it does change daily so I would call
Of course but, shelter dogs have individual fears and anxieties that might include small children Its best if you ask the volunteers about the dog and as well keep the dog in its new environment for a couple weeks until it is familiar with its new surroundings
I am not really sure if he is stil available to tell you the hard truth but I strongly suggest that you go to the front counter and speak to someone today because he might be euthanized if nobody takes him and as you probably already know, they close at 3:30 p.m. today. I am not really sure how much you pay for the adoptions here but as you probably already know, you don't pay for the dog himself. You only pay for the sterilization, licensing, vaccination microchipping, and a voucher for you to take him to see a veterinarian within 3 days after leaving the shelter, if the exam's results reveal that he is sick with the flu for example, you have to pay separately for his treatment. I think you would have to pay about $122.00 for the adoption services just like you do here at LA animal services, but ask someone at the front counter to make sure. Good luck to you!
Go to the front counter and pay the $25.00 fee and they should assign you a crate to leave him in. A pet is a family member not an old pare of shoes that you can just throw in the trash because you are tired of wearing them. Have some mercy for him don't just think of yourself.
I am not really sure if they do but I strongly suggest that you come to this facility in person and take a tour of the kennel area or speak to an officer or an animal care technician at the front counter for help. Or go to their website for more information. Good luck!
I am not really sure if they have these exotic birds here but I strongly suggest that you go directly to this facility and speak to someone at the front counter, call them or go to their website for more information.
Yes and yes but on select days Monday & Saturday 11am-4pm and Wednesdays 11am-7pm
As salaamu alaykum. If you have pics we would love to see her.
Please fill out an intake form on our website! You can find that here: https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/surrender
We are unable to do temporary boarding for pets. Check out PACT for Animals, who may be able to help; https://pactforanimals.org/.
Volunteers must be 16 or older. You can check out our website for more info: https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/get-involved.
No, what you are looking for is a daycare. The Refuge offers removing services, a place people can surrender their animal to be adopted by someone else
Hi Natalia! If you would like to spend time with our animals but can't adopt consider signing up to be a volunteer! Visit https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/get-involved for more information.
Idk did you try there website?
Hi! We do take small animals when we have the capacity to do so. Please fill out the intake survey on our website! https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/surrender
It's an animal shelter where people can surrender or adopt a pet so I don't think they do any boarding
Hi Bruce! Unfortunately, we are unable to do temporary care for owned pets.
Hello Leigh. We're so sorry to hear that your daughter needs to surrender her dog. To do this at our shetler she will need to fill out our surrender form and speak with our intake staff. All of the information for this process can be found on our website, https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/surrender.
Hello! We are so sorry to hear that you need to surrender your pets. Please fill out the surrender form on our website and someone from our team will be in touch. https://www.morrisanimalrefuge.org/surrender
Hello Salina. We strive to make sure that every adoptable animal is able to be placed in a home. Euthansia is only used in cases where the animal is greatly suffering or if they are a danger to our staff and the public. We are happy to report that we currently have a 96% save rate!
For right now, yes you would need an appointment.
Not usually. Atlantic critters rescue in NJ has many bunnies for adoption
I'm not sure. Best to call them. I would think you could.
Forgotten Cats website. Located in willow grove & trainer is easiest. But FB group PHL community cats...they can assist in trapping. Sterilizing. Vaccines. Flea & tick preventative and rehome/adoption rescues that can help
No
Give Morris a call. They may have room.
Any time they are open. I would call first, to make sure they have room. Good luck!
I would contact them directly to see if they have space, and to get the specifics of their surrender procedure. Strictly speaking, they are not completely no kill, but they have an extremely high success rate of placing their animals in forever homes. Good luck in re-homing your friend!
They may have kittens for adoption now - call to find out about their adoption fee and process. Good luck in finding a furrever friend!
I think that you might have to be but I'm not sure as I have only adopted
I believe cash and credit card
You would need to call. They are very reasonable
I would contact the Morris directly with that question. Good luck!
Yes, you can surrender her. I had a similiar situation with my dog. They'll take good care of her.
You might try a wildlife refuge. Check Google. Or call Morris direct.
I have puppies that i will sell for cheap only to good caring homes if you are interested. Only if you are able to care for them.
That's a good question. Is the cat friendly towards people, or at least indifferent? If so, I'm confident that they will work very hard to find a good home for the cat - if they have space at the shelter. I would call them directly and carefully explain the cat's situation. If the cat is feral (not friendly or extremely fearful towards humans or aggressive), they may have other ideas of what to do with the cat - maybe trap, neuter and return - or other resources for you. Good luck!
Please call the shelter directly to find out if they accept rabbits. Good luck!
You have to fill out an adoption application through Morris Animal Refuge. You should be able to do it online. Im sure there's are many applications at this point....
Sorry, don't know. Call them.
Call. If the animal is very ill no one will guarantee it wouldn't be euthanized.
Don't know you would have to call them
No. They're an animal shelter only.
Give them a call
I have 2pitbulls I need to surrender
If you want to
You should call first.
They take kittens. Call first.
You need to call them to find out if they are able to provide owner requested euthanasia today.
Not sure. Depending on the season
Yes
Not sure. You will have to call
They get puppies. But like most places puppies go quickly.
No vet on Sunday. You can try paws @ greys ferry
yup, thx Sharon. just check when they are open if you need to.
You need to call shelters themselves by phone not on here
Your picture id
Something like 55 unless you have a good reason but when you go in you don't just surrender a cat and leave they will ask for 55! I think
I would call because I don't know if they just take walk in's or you have to make arrangements with them
The shelter does not provide vetenarie treatment, however they will be able to direct you to someone who can.
The shelters are consistently overrun with pit bulls. If they don't have them, the ASPCA will.
When you send questions in, Annie, they are normally not going right to the establishment in question, (Morris Animal Refuge, in this case.) A local guide tries to give an answer, if known. I don't know if Morris has animals for fostering.
If I remember correctly you have to call first then they let you know if they can help you if they have the room to do so
Spay/neuter is included in adoption fees
Morris Animal Refuge is NOT a kill shelter. They work with a network of other foundations and rescues to place animals in their care.
no
Sometimes, it depends on what people bring in. I know that they had a full grown, 4 1/2 ft female green iguana at least once- because I brought it in!
I believe adoption fee is around $50 for adults. Check Morris' website. You will also be able to see who is available & waiting for you.
You would have to contact Morris directly with that question.
They don't do it there you get a low cost certificate from them and they give you a list of vets that except it, more then likely your vet will be on that list, The list is pretty big
Just bring her in. That's all I ever had to do. I remember filling out a form, I think, just telling where the animal came from, whatever, if anything, I knew about it. They also ask if you could make a donation to help with the cost of care for the animal and the other animals in the refuge; I didn't always have it to give. They are pretty easy. They just are glad you got the stray off the streets.
I don't think you're ready for puppy
Don't know Owen; just call them, they're at 1242 Lombard Street, in Philadelphia.
They charge $25 for surrenders.
$150 plus $18 for the license
They sell discounted certificates there, that you purchase from them and they give you a list of veterinarians that except them, More then likely if you already have a vet they accept them if not pick one from the list.
You would need 2 call them
Morris is not a pet store. It is a refuge for unwanted /found, etc. animals. Pets can be bought there, if someone happens to drop -off something you like. An African gray is not out of the question, as I personally know of a case where someone brought in a 4 1/2 foot female green iguana, about 1 minute after another person came in looking for exactly that. It's just luck though, like that. I very much like that they are a no-kill establishment.
No morris do not have pickup services you can give them a call morris is a small shelter and only have limited amount of kennels call first to see if they have space or you can call ACCT PHILLY they have pickup services they do charge a fee and you have to make an appointment for pickup
Cookie is in foster
They have a surrender price of $25.00.
No sorry morris has no cat by the name of bella with a lump on the nelly you can check with A.C C.T PHILLY OR THE PSPCA
And there is a $25 surrender fee.
Morris do accept dogs if morris has room adoption is not guaranteed call first before you decide to surrender
Only if the animals is adopted from morris at the time of adoption not to the public
Not at the moment
I am pretty sure they do have yorkies and pomeranians here because as a general rule, all of these institutions have dogs of all sorts of breeds and personalities. Go to this location, take a tour of the kennel area and when you find the dog you are interested in write down the animal identification number, take a picture of him if possible and take them to one of the staff members at the front counter or if you see an officer or an animal care technician walking around show them the number and the picture and ask them for assistance. Good luck to you!
Yes, I am pretty sure they will accept her, but they might charge you a fee for surrendering her if you tell them that she was yours. If you tell them that she is a stray they will not charge you a cent. I suggest that you go to the shelter directly and ask someone at the front counter what this facility's rules are, call them or go to their website for more information.
No. Morris doesn't have space to hold animals. They do kill if animal is not adopted quickly.
Animals cycle through regularly. There was a male Pomeranian there on September 24th, mat still be there.
How much is it to adopt a small dog
