I am not sure how much adoptions cost here but in reality, you are not paying for the cat himself only for the services that are needed for the adoption process which include: shots microchipping, and a voucher to see a doctor within 3 days after leaving the shelter. But if the cat has the flu for example, you have to pay for his treatment separately. I suggest that you go to the shelter in person, take a tour of the cattery and when you find the cat you are interested in adopting write down the animal ID number, take a photo of him if possible and take them to an officer or to an animal care technician at the front counter. Fill out the paperwork, pay the adoption fee which is around $76.00 just like they charge here at LA animal services and they should tell you when you can take him home Sterilization is also included in the adoption fee as a general rule. Good luck!

The cost is based on the age. However, they constantly have specials. The best option is to look online before going to visit the shelter.
