Of course but, shelter dogs have individual fears and anxieties that might include small children Its best if you ask the volunteers about the dog and as well keep the dog in its new environment for a couple weeks until it is familiar with its new surroundings
Yes, you can. The staff there will help with questions about the dogs origins and temperament. Between them and yourself, you can decide if the 🐕 is right for your child and you; for instance, I personally know of a case where there wasn't anything wrong with the dog; the owner was military and could not take his pet on deployment with him.
