Regardless of age, remember Morris is a no kill animal shelter, whether the animal is there 2 weeks or a year they are caring for and feeding the animals, they are a non-profit the fees keep the shelter open which helps keep abandoned animals from being put to sleep for no other reason than they became inconvenient to someone. Animals at Morris get fixed if they need it, get all their shots up to day and receive any medical care they need from the time they come in until the time they leave. If an animal is sick they will not adopt it until the issue has passed, if it is more like a chronic treatable condition that requires regular medication or a special diet, they let you know all about that before you even sign the paperwork.
