Worst VA for primary care accessibility and quality. Too few CBOCs, limited hours. Beaufort is a relic. Very rude and dismissive staff. Keep your expectations very low.
Chet Chetly
Horrible service. You WILL be on hold for hours on end. And when you finally get an employee who begrudgingly answers the phone, you will probably be transferred for another hour or so. They cancel ALL online appointment requests for no reason and force you to call to deal with the zero employees willing to help. I literally cannot stand calling or dealing with this clinic. But of course, itβs the ONLY one in the area offering optometry.
Geoff Weber
Pleasantly surprised and pleased by the quality of care. God bless the staff here.

Our hospital in downtown Charleston (located at 109 Bee Street) has an emergency department that is open 24/7.
We're sorry you're experiencing difficulty getting through. The direct line for our patient advocates is (843) 789-6066. Is that the number you're calling?
Waiting is common practice with just about all emergency rooms that's why it's important to keep your appointment with your doctor as a preventative measure.
Save yourself a lot of time and stress and use the valet. Sometimes it can take a really long time to find a space, and I have a handicapped placard.
Lasandra is spot on!
Go to myhealthva.com and send message
Go in front of the VA hospital and on the right is registration it's open now they will assist you with the registration counselor wants sign on it usually takes maybe 30 minutes and it's best to go in in the morning you will need like the other guide saids you will need a DD-214 to register and make sure you have a Social Security card with you and that how the process starts they are a great group of people that will like to help you in every way.
Yes
We don't have a hospital in North Charleston - our hospital is located downtown at 109 Bee Street, 20401. We do have a clinic in North Charleston - our Trident VA Outpatient Clinic - located at 9237 University Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29406. Here is a link with directions with a list of services offered at the clinic: https://www.charleston.va.gov/locations/Trident.asp
There is a map on the first floor by the elevators. Radiology is on the second floor just outside of the 2nd floor elevators
The sign for it was still there! So hopefully, yes!
I'm not sure about that
You should first call our eligibility office. They can help get you started and directed on next steps. 843-789-7008. For more information visit: https://www.charleston.va.gov/patients/eligibility.asp
The new facility suppose to be opening in April. I have not gotten an exact date as of yet.
I don't know. You can access information at VA.gov or myhealtyvet.
For an ICU patient, protocol is one person per day between 2pm-6pm. The patient must have your name listed as approved visitor.
I did not go to dental, I am sure you can call them to see if they are accepting visits.
Usually mine are paid within 30 days after I enter it in the kiosk for qualified visits. Been in the VA system fo more than 30 years.Trust me, it's eons better than it use to be.
Veterans are not prosecuted to my knowledge if they disclose their addiction to their provider, generally when it comes to opioid addiction they are offered an alternative to help assist in recovery. In most cases if a patient is going through the withdrawal symptoms they generally have them referred to a rehab program that will assist in recovery.
I live with my a friend that was in the army that was involved in a IED explosion in the Persian gulf he was pretty much a mess up he didn't lose a limb but as far as his mental state he had affected him so he went to the American Legion for some more information to help them out and he's at the 60% disability and looks forward fighting for more up to 80 percent also I am 60 percent my local vet center in goose Creek assisted me with a consular.
@DL I completely feel where you are coming from and there is feeling around some that it is not just in that section, I get where you are coming from Josh, however when it seemingly not just a contained to one area thing, it seems like it is more of a building thing, where many do seem uncaring and just there for the check, and going to the people inhouse seems to fall on death ears, I'd say writing to your local senator but depending on who they are he/she may give you the same result. But if you know you have a good one, than definitely reach out to them!
Good question I had a double hernia repair a year ago, but didn't say if they do that procedure or not, I didn't ask. The prostate removal is a yes for robotics.
I was going too, had two counselors that were actually good and tried to even work with the insurance thing where they could but of the VA ran them off
I don't think so, generally because all issues that qualify for PTSD is usually service related, however childhood incidences depicting upon how severe can increase the level or the severity PTSD but as far as service connected issues, childhood incidences may not qualify. But to ensure that the information that is being provided is accurate, follow up with your Mental health Care provider and they maybe able to give you a more in-depth analysis of your individualize concerns.
It's going on nation wide for all Va personal I been waiting for 4 most. For a procedure, this is what you need to do call the closes Va near you and go to the emergency room period they have no choice to get you seen by a expert.
Gary please make your way to the hospital asap, don't question yourself your health is very important for you and your loved ones, hope you made the right decision, hope you feel better.
Thank you. The VA must have the worst record keeping system in the universe. Have no idea on which direction to goπ₯π₯
M-F 8:45am til 7pm. Emergency through the ER is 24 hours. only.

Yes available. But it goes very fast. They do have valet parking.
As far as I remember when my husband was in there, they did not have visiting hours. But that was in 1985. As with most hospitals, I would think the visiting hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
109 Bee Street Charleston, S.C. 29403 or you can take them to the travel office and they will give you the money right then.
Brittney unfortunately the VA Hospital does not perform cosmetic procedures it being a government facility, there's a liability Factor that's why they will not perform any type of cosmetic procedures.
No they don't sorry
I don't know anyone who has had the weight loss surgery but my husband goes there for everything else. They have changed so much at this VA for the better. The employees are amazing and helpful. We have been very pleased with our experiences there. You're in good hands!
The pharmacy is only open on the weekdays from 8-6pm. The pharmacy is only open for hospital patients and ER patients on the weekends.
Visit your local VA OFFICE. DD -214 and ID in hand, you're already on file
Hoptel. The VA will take care of you at a hotel usually right across the street from VAMC, free of charge. Hope and prayers are with you
Valet parking is available at the main entrance
Comfort inn across the street from the hospital.
They have a comfort inn across the street(walking distance) that I stay at, it cost just over $100 a night. If you have an appointment where you're from out of town and have to stay see the travel section of the hospital. They may provide a room at the hotel for that appointment. I really enjoy staying at this hotel. Professional customer service and clean.
I don't know but if you get in touch with you county veteran's service officer they may be able to tell you and help you
Got to the main lobby. It is very close around the corner
Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro, SC is a nice nursing home. I don't know of any by Myrtle Beach.
Why?
