A must visit place if you are a big tree lover. There are trails you can enjoy waking. It's easy to spend about an hour or 2 hiking and exploring the nature here. The trails are maintained very well and it's an easy one for kids. The trees are amazing here. Parking could be challenging since it's very limited. You will get a spot but might be a bit of a wait until someone leaves. It's a 10$ for parking and cards are accepted. Restroom needs a better maintenance

Amazing, enormous giant sequoias in a beautiful, sprawling park. $10 for a car to enter, has a camping option but I've never done. The larger park area closes for winter, but you can still do a 1.6 mile loop hike to see great trees and learn some history of the redwoods. Took off a star because they don't allow dogs on any of the trails.

Such a beautiful hike. Super flat and short hike that would be easy enough for beginners. It was very slick due to melting snow so highly recommend stopping in the gift shop to but the walking sticks with spikes! We did NOT regret the investment. Such a majestic area.

Dogs are allowed in the campgrounds on leash and also can use the fire roads
There is parking and the trail is fairly flat but it can be for some a long walk but there are several places to sit and and rest
There was a lake nearby where u could park n swim n picnic tables. Wasn't far is what the park ranger told us.
Well, the fish hatchery flooded so the streams, rivers and lakes have not been stocked yet. However, the local lake, White Pines Lake, has fair fishing right now.
Yes..some area
3' tall and 3' deep and 4' wide...a couple small ice chest fit and a few bags of dry goods..opens from the side
Not sure. You would have to talk to the rangers or call/e-mail California State Parks and Recreation in Sacramento.
The National Lifetime pass is not good for state parks. You will need to fill out the California State Park Discount pass separately as this is a state park and not a national park.
If you want to see the really big ones, you'll need to do about a 45-minute hike loop from the parking lot. Very flat, suitable for small children. Definitely worth stopping, but dogs are not allowed on the trail.
Yep! It's gorgeous! Found an eagle feather last time I was there with my boys.
Not as of a few days ago. Take a first aid kit haha
No just used the restroom a little flirting can go a long way lol
$10 per vehicle ($9 for seniors)
I'm not sure but I rather doubt it.
Sorry can't tell you.
$ 12 00 per car
Yes there is. Those pictures are just from Saturday. It's beautiful out there right now
I went a week ago and if there was a little, on the roads there is no problem
It's supposed to snow tomorrow starting at 3500 feet.
Bathrooms were open last weekend
No, I don't think so. Kids can bike/scooter in the camping areas but it doesn't seem like it would work on the trails. Hope that helps.
Yes , their are several trails. It's a great place to hike and to enjoy a picnic.
We were on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and it was open
Yes, bathrooms are open, when we went last week they had toilet paper, (but I like to take some anyway), and the gift shop was also open.
Very little. All we saw was what was piled up and left from plowing the parking lot, and it was almost all melted.
The North Grove trail was free of snow and only had a 20 foot section of muddy parts. Other than that, it was nice and dry: odd for this time of year.
Giant Sequoia trees on the North Grove trail.
yes, you can book a camping house
Yes..giant Sequoia trees. They are the most massive trees but the redwoods are the tallest.
1-3 miles
Yes it is still there.
I don't know why not.
I think it is it just depends o the day you go
I believe no ground fires but bbq is ok but I would check with that front office where you pay before doing anything with a fire.
The distance of the trail is 6.7 miles and as far as how long in hours I'm not entirely sure its been a couple of years since I last hiked that trail
He created that what if but I the tree that I have seen is the one that is in the drought par aya by the 80
Depends on where you go in the area. There is a creek that runs about 9 miles up. The park ranger can direct you.
Yes they have a sr discount. And they are open in may.

No, they don't.
Depending on the weather, you may need chains. Snow does fall that low, especially during the cold Winter storms. Check ahead on a weather App. for conditions!
RV sites are not strictly for RVs. You can have a car with a tent in any of the sites.
I'm sure there isn't so much snow that you need chains. But you better bring the chains in case you do.
I don't know. I always call the park on the day of to ask. You can Google the number.
Cold but sunny
They are wide enough but they are rough and some soft dirt areas but you should have no problems
They're allowed in the campground, picnic areas, and fire roads. They aren't allowed on the trails
I believe so, the visitors center has that answer...
It might be best to go to their website to get that answer.
There should be a site map available on their web page. It's the best way to place yourself in the right spot.
That's what I find out too. So no need to renew.
I personally did not think the trees were that large when you drive through the park. I have seen much much larger in the Redwoods and in Sequoia Park
Yep, it's $20 and you can go after hours too.
I don't think anyone can swim there. Just get your feet wet; it's cold.
Worth the 10 bucks, trees r awesome.
During the warmer season you need to reserve a spot due to how many people visit. If it ends up being full, it's a little more expensive but you can get a spot at Golden pines and get day passes for big trees. You'll also get hot showers, bathrooms, and a pool if you chose to do that.
Since they offer camping they encourage non campers to leave after sunset but you can unoffically stay. Just remember the bears come out at night and they are looking for food in your car. If they smell anything they will smash your car to get it.
There's not a lot of snow there, but there is still some on the ground as of today
Check caltrans website. There definitely is snow in parts of the park. There also is a phone number on the Park website.
Make sure you go up there when the sun is out, Due to the Broadwalk is icy on the trails, when it's colder out,. Like slip Sliding Away!¡! Like the song, But had a Wonderful Time With My Husband Yesterday Afternoon, nothing like a good adventure and taking pictures lots thank you for sharing and love the milky way if you can send me that photo I sure would appreciate it thank you very much!;!
No, there was a few inches about three weeks ago but it's long gone by now.
There is an area called the scenic overlook where you can see all the way to the Sierra Crest
Per car. The trails are well maintained. Plenty to see.
State park.... Its open.... Shutdown is federal
When I went there in Dec there was not much snow in the Park, I only saw one pile of snow and the weather from what I can remember was about 40 to 50 F. But now its Jan. so there could be a little bit, not much I predict.
I would say there is not much if there is any. I am in Dorrington and there was snow but it has all melted in the last few days
Closed Christmas day.....
Start at the visitor center, do the North Grove which will take you less than an hour and then take the drive out to the South Grove and hike it. Experiencing the south grove requires at least 3 to 4 hours depending on how far and how fast you want to go but is well worth it. You could of course, reverse that if you wanted to, but seeing the visitor center first gives you a great overview of the park and the forest.
The park doesn't close for the season. It's always open.
Can a motorized scooter for the disabled be used on the trails?
