Fun for kids- gets packed- be careful of holes. Go online to buy pass- have to print out is downfall but I just put number on dash of truck. Would be nice to have just a code entered- most people did not have a pass π€·π½ββοΈ. Was a nice place though

Simple but effective set up - parking is relatively limited so plan to arrive early if you want a good spot. The single public bathroom was a bit dirty, but functional. When we were there there hadn't been any fresh snow for a while so it was compacted down into ice and quite treacherous in places. Be sure to bring good outdoor footwear and go carefully, we saw plenty of people slipping over. There are plenty of slopes for the kids to play on, mostly fairly gentle. Would definitely have been a great spot with a little more fresh snow!

We didn't get there early so waited a long time for parking. There was lots of room to roam and did not feel crowded. There is 1 outhouse that did have toilet paper but might be good to take toilet paper and sanitizer since there's no β¦

Love that this place exists, it's beautiful and we had a great time! π·βοΈπ¨β However THE BATHROOM SMELLED LIKE DIARRHEA, THE FLOOR AND PARTS OF THE WALLS LOOKED LIKED THEY'VE NEVER BEEN CLEANED, THERE'S NO HANDWASHING STATION W/ SOAP AND β¦

There's a lot of snow! It was actively snowing Sat.,2/13/21. Suggestions:Make sure you buy a day pass before getting there - there was a park officer issuing tickets, get there early or you'll be waiting for a spot to open up - that could be minutes, 1/2 hr, to an hour, and depending on weather be sure to have chains/ cables readily available ( and the know how -on how to put them on, as there was only one Caltrans worker directing cars to stop but was unable to be "hands on" to help) unless you have 4 wheel drive. **Pack snacks and/or lunch. There is one bathroom. Have fun!!
No tables nor refreshments on the premises. Not even water other than the snow.
There is snow but not a lot
We went today and going back tomorrow, lots of snow, kinda packed hard, but some slopes to slide down. We had lots of fun to today with our 6 grandchildren
All the sno-park lots are plowed and cleared. Park in the lot and walk/ski/snowmobile into the forest.
Yes. Plenty. Although, as the warm sunny days progress, the powdery snow will become a bit icy in spots.
Yes, definitely snow. I'm assuming the lot has been plowed by now but you may want to check. Don't forget to buy a sno-park pass.
We also went on Tuesday and had snow as deep as our hip! Lots of little hills to sled down, though we didn't stay right next to the parking lot, we trekked up and over for a bit to distance ourselves from others. Remember to buy your $5 parking pass in advance at the shop in Arnold. Snow is forecasted on Saturday. We had 3 hours of great fun!
Its not a park, its only a parking lot. Has a restroom, no other facility. Snow is great, might be 3 feet deep, have fun!
Went yesterday the 10th and there was plenty of snow.
Check Cal Trans website on any given day
Yes, we drove up yesterday and there was a decent amount up there
Yes!
There was a good amount of fluffy snow when we went yesterday (not too packed together) but not enough to really sled in (the trails were too powdery and not packed in enough). However, by the time you guys should go, there should be more snow and the trails should be longer and packed in.
Go to the Rangers Station for everything.
We went to Carson pass past Sunday. There was snow, but very soft and powder - about 1ft deep while walking.
Should be
There probably is. I went last year in feburary and there was still snow enough to play.
I would check the wheather for this weekend. It would give you a better answer
There is not much snow
Was there snow?
Yes, plenty for sledding, I was there yesterday.
I went on march 15 .It was too much snow. Don't know now but it's really cool place.
Ay snow to play with children
Spicer is basically a dead end Street/cul-de-sac that you park in (there's a fee to use the "snow park") and play in the surrounding area. There aren't any lifts, there aren't any tube rentals, there aren't any pre groomed hills. There is an outhouse style bathroom. No food or concessions sold.
Yesss!!!
You might be able to punch Spicer Snow Park into Google maps, and get the actual GPS address by dropping a pin next to the one already dropped.
There was icy snow on New Year's Eve. Quite a bit of it. The road calls for you to carry chains past Arnold. It was not snowing so we did not need put on chains. You only need to put on chains if it's actually snowing. This is a great place for kids to play around in the snow with sleds or making snow people. Check the sno-park website to see whether there is snow before you go.
The weather say snow...so to be safe at that altitude...I would bring them...unless the van has 4 wheel drive..
We bought ours online a few days before we went to play from the snow park website.
Yes there is snow and Perfect for sleds and disks
You can buy permits online (https://secure.cloudwisesolutions.com/app/products.html) or at a couple of stores in Arnold (http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/pages/1233/files/SNO-PARK-VendorList.pdf). More info at http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=26911
There should be I believe it snowed. I'll be there Sunday again
