Very beautiful camping sites and the view from our tent was unforgettable.

This place is outright stunning! My kids and I camped for the 1st time here. Bathrooms are clean and hot showers are available (bring quarters). The host and rangers are super friendly and helpful. There is a town nearby in case you need to …

Beautiful park with amazing activities. We camped on a Sunday night and they had a camp fire with songs and the Rangers talked about endangered animals. We loved our site for the one exception that our site NG26 was a little close to the main road. Clean bathroom and showers. Overall had a great time! We will be back!

A great camping experience. Tap water is provided. The restroom is clean. It could be very cold at late night in September.

There are plenty of Redwood trees in this forest and they contribute to a peaceful and nature-like atmosphere at the park. Additionally, on the hiking trails, there are many ancient and huge Redwood trees - some of which are followed and or hollow - that can be interacted with on the trail, and provide shelter from the sun, wind, and rain. If you are looking for a campsite with many Redwood trees and a deep delve into the history of the forest, North Grove is the right place.
Yes - each campground has a metal fire pit. Note: You must bring your own firewood as collecting firewood within the park is not allowed.
No closed for winter
Not sure which site would be better. Site 12 is decently flat, and not too far from the accessible bathrooms but depending on your specific medical needs you might want to call the ranger station and ask. Site 42 is less disability friendly if I recall correctly. There are 4 spots clustered near the accessible bathroom (15,16,17,18) that are labled for persons with disabilities. You may want to book one of those. If you look on a website nextcampsite.org you might find pictures (scroll down to the bottom) and more information. Best of luck
My wife and I stayed 4 nights last week $7.99 reservation fee plus $33.00 per day ...8 per site extra $$ for 2nd vehicle dogs allowed.FYI campite #72 good spot ...water & restroom/ shower close by.Enjoy!
