Easy access from the Hwy. Great use of space within the park. Bathrooms and showers kept clean and well maintained. The shower curtains could use a good cleaning. Store was not yet open but staff was available to get shower tokens. Grounds very well maintained. We even found a geocache while we were there.

VERY small spaces zero privacy but cute place and nice atmosphere! We were able to get a spot with empty spots surrounding is because we have little kids and they weren't busy. We barely had enough room for our tent and truck in the spot. It's not at all, at all, at all private. But it's really cute and quite pleasant so honestly not too bad if you just need a place to sleep for the night! Hot showers and a nice little western town to look at too. And ice cream. And huge trees and grass.

We went camping here in July 2020. Very clean facilities, the camping spots are great. There is grass which was a nice relief after a week of camping on dirt. They have hot water coin-operated showers. They allowed us to walk around the grounds first to pick out our spot. We would like to return if we're ever driving through again.

This was the second time camping at this site. Although packed from everyone trying to get out of the house it was as beautiful as I remember. There's a golf course next door that my husband enjoys. There are other local campgrounds, Natura watering holes, and a quaint little downtown. People are so friendly and everyone just moves at a more relaxed pace. There are little creeks that run through properties and there was one right in the park up the street. We look forward to our trips here. We also got to visit the movie theater in town! It was amazing to take it all in and enjoy the quiet and relaxing surroundings. Facilities and showers are maintained throughout the day. Trash is always picked up daily. The little shop in the front is a little rustic joy. Looking forward to our next trip!

If memory serves me correctly I believe it's 25 or 27 a night little on the steep side for a campsite but worth it if you are in the area for a few nights.
Depends on the season. At least two weeks but sometimes longer. However, they have some first come first served spots absurdly.
This place is opened year round.
That you have to call them for. But yes you can
Yes I believe the store is closed in the winter months with the campground being self-service.
The temperature should be alot cooler and is actually possible to go to some cold or frozen areas around there. If you ever still need it to be colder there is a near by park that has a cold creek in the summer and in the fall boy is it freezing.
It is first come first serve right now. You pay up at the front, into the fee box. You can show up any time. The main office/store is still closed.
You should call them directly rather than asking in this forum
Yes, I saw many leashed dogs last weekend
They probably don't have anything like that. This place is old school. BUT their very accommodating! They will make it work. Trout opener & mule days this place is packed. So if ur thinking of coming then? Call way ahead. Good luck.
Not really. Trout opener, mule days & when the rodeo comes 2 town u better, but normally u do not. Remember the valley gets hot during the summer months. If u don't have air it can/will get uncomfortable. Clean showers & toilets. Nice store @ entrance. Home made pies & giant scoops of ice cream 4 sale. Adult beverages too. My home away from home 4 trout openers.
Sadly... Everything changes.
Just FYI when I was there, they didn't open the office until 9am. But there is a guy that drives around on a golf cart all night long keeping an eye on everything. He works there but I'm not sure if he can check you inn. That place is awesome. I will defiantly be going back. Enjoy your stay
No issue with fires here, east of the SN and well away from the high risk areas. I reserved there in June. You need to ring them though as you cant book through the website. I found the site to be excellent, good facilities, showers, laundry and shop although the frogs in the lake.........noisy little buggers 😂
Yes they are, but you cant leave them unattended. My dog loved it there and had a great time.
Yes. I've stayed there about 20 times and never had a reservation. If you stay there during Mule Days (Memorial Day weekend) you will need one.
No need to book in advance at that time of the year
If you give them enough notice.
They have tent site that r nice and trailer spots with hook ups but no generators good rate for RVS. There r a lot of dry camp grounds around that do let u use generators, good luck nice
I believe you can camp at brownstown but the store won't be open. Not sure when it completely opens
