Northshore has really declined in the care it provides it's residents. They are always short staffed, and turnover rate of staff is high. My mother is a 95 year old resident there, but we have given our 30 day notice to them, and will be moving her. Many days when we visit, she is sitting in the dark, still in her PJs, bed unmade. The food is mediocre to poor, and service is slow. It is very sad and maddening to witness her neglect. No one cares. 😒

My wife and I have lived at Northshore Heights for 9 months. Before moving into assisted living, we diligently searched around the Knoxville area. Northshore Heigts is by far the best assisted living facility in this area. We are especially impressed with the staff ...... from the administrative down through the care givers and the housekeepers. Without exception staff members have been excellent in their jobs AND have shown consistent caring and thoughtful attention to all residents. Carl & Martha Thomas

I found my Mother a new home at Northshore Heights Senior Living. It is a beautiful, resort-like place. My Mother loves her room and the food and the activities; and she says everyone is as nice as can be to her. It is a wonderful place. Everyone there has been nice to deal with, but there are some who are exceptional and go beyond their duties with performance and kindness. These people are: Lindsay, Tonya, Stephanie and Katelyn. While I'm grateful for all of the employees there, these 4 people should receive special recognition and/or compensation. I highly recommend this place for your loved one.

Yes. Trips off-site with family members are encouraged. We simply ask that you check with your Nurses Station and take all appropriate medication with you for the length of time your loved one will be gone. Residents and guests are required to sign in and out at the reception desk.
Yes, our rooms are fully-furnished; however, we encourage residents to bring their own furniture and favorite belongings.
Yes, residents have the choice of keeping their personal physician or being referred to the in- house or local physician.
Yes, our residence is licensed and inspected by the Tennessee Department of Health. Department of Health regulated Assisted Living residences provide assistance with all activities of daily living, including: three meals per day; personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming; medication management; recreational programming; transportation to appointments; 24-hour supervision for any emergencies or care needs. Although not required by the Department of Health, Northshore Heights has Licensed Professional Nurses on-site 24/7.
In addition to our full range of services, including fine dining, 24/7 recreation and 24/7 Nursing. Northshore Heights Nurses assist with individual residents needs such as oxygen management, nebulizer treatments, and insulin injections. Specialized diet options are available along with daily exercise classes. Aides provide personal care such as bathing and dressing.
