Very nice and genuine individuals who want good homes for their animals. I adopted my new cat “Halle” from this shelter and she has come out of her shell quite quickly.

I know they open at 9am I'm not sure if they are open on christmas
Yes, of course they do.
I dont think they accept cats you can try the SPCA or Humane Society in Columbia
I don't actually work their. I would have to look into that.
You can borrow traps from animal control; some vets offices lend them out; Pawmetto Lifeline and Pets, Inc. may lend out traps, or you can buy your own online, or at Tractor Supply for about $25. The traps are humane traps, and do not harm the cats, Elaine Taylor. It is not feasible to "send the cats to new homes" if they are feral. The best solution fir ferals is to trap them humanely and take them to be fixed. If you live within City if West Columbia, call Safe Cats Coalition - they have a website and Facebook page. They can help with trapping and will fix and return them free of charge. The City of Columbia and Richland County each have their own Community Cat programs to help with trapping and to fix free of charge. Pawmetto Lifeline handlea all feral and community cat spay neuter for Lexington county residents - see instructions on county website under animal services and in Pawmetto's website. Hiw-to onfo at www.neighborhoodcats.com or www.alleycat.org
Yes you can always return animals , but they only get two chances before death row. Try to find a different owner, returning a pet should always be a last resort. Thanks for asking!!
Yes. If it's a stray. They gold it for five days. If the dog is microchipped, that much better. Since they're required to scan all dogs coming in for chips. Your best bet is to go there and look. With over 10,000 animals a year coming in. Descriptions can be sketchy. Tell the John Blackman sent you
No don't call the sheriff's department. Call the lexington county animal shelter. They will settel it.report them if children have been hurt or close to injury.
If you encounter this, it is best to call the sheriff to break the glass. Don't know if it is illegal, but the police can rescue the animal.
You can drop off any time after 9 AM. Washing the comforters would be nice but its not necessary.
It depends on what type of volunteer work you are looking to contribute
Mostly can't tell if the almanac was still versatile on the left side then you may be able to show up but just be careful if you grab that ham by her tonsil fat
If they are destroying your property then animal control services will give them a warning. After that they will take the steps to remove the animals.
Yes
The adoption fee is $40
It may help to make an appointment, but it is not required. You will simply call the number when you arrive and someone will come out to help.
Call and see what you need to do
Sonja Sharpe, call PAWMETTO LIFELINE! Tell them what's happening and even call the sheriff, police and county representatives! We have a foothold in this because we pay taxes which support and sustain these organizations that are existing to HELP US. I'm deeply sorry for the animals and your mother.
Are you looking to adopt one?
It's a black with a little white on his body and wears a thick pink collar
They put the animal by itself for about a week to see of it is aggressive and then it will be able to be up for adoption
I'm sure they would take any donations that can be used and in good condition.
30 days I believe
Animal control, will come and rescue them, call them and tell them the situation,
I wouldn't take it to pound, I would sell it before that. It has papered the pound won't do justice for the beautiful dog
Depends on the size of the dog. My chihuahua had to weight at least 5 lbs or he could not be neteured. He was 5.1 lbs. Price starts at 55.00 and up.
Don't know, but try your vet if your dog is sick
The number is on the cage , a worker will get the information you need on that dog or cat
Yes u can only if u you are in danger. Just make sure and call in to Lexington County Animal services to report the call.
I was referring to animal control. I don't deal with animals so that's why I asked.
They do have a donation bin in their office.
You can go to lake Murray animal hospital.
Yes you can, and no there is no cost
Wow, it never crossed my mind until now that people would do this.
Are you wanting to get rid of them or socialise them with other people & pups?
I know they'll bring out trap cages for them to go into and come pick them up .. we had a problem with stray cats and animal control did that for us
Yes they are all fixed and up to date...check on fees they sometimes run specials but are always the most reasonable.
Animal control is a branch of the sheriff, therefore they are the same as a deputy.
No but they can be placed on a warning
Yes you can volunteer
You can call the office tomorrow and make a report an officer will go out. If there is excessive barking you will have to do a barking log and a recording from inside your home call the office tomorrow and they will be able to explain it to you more
If there is no doghouse available. You can call it in as a possible neglect case. It is the only complaint you can make anonymously. You need a house number, description of house and animal and where in yard it is located. I've had cases overturned due to a tree there that provides shade and cover from rain. Its not usual. But, the judge will usually rule in Animal Controls favor and a good officer will have photos. But, don't expect immediate compliance. The officer must first tag the house with a warning and if they don't comply. He can write them a citation to appear in court
All of the dogs will be tested. And if they pass they are good. If they don't pass they all get taking away.
If your willing to allow a trap on your property. They will p/u any animals trapped on a daily basis. They cannot keep coming back the same day unless the ACO is close. Otherwise, you would have to cover trap until next day.
No, the thought is appreciated. But, it is a matter of liability of injury. Sorry
