Dropped off some donations and was greeted by a very friendly grey cat!

This place is a joke. We brought in a sick cat to be euthanized and we were turned away. They're not humane at all.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes we do, thank you!
No
There is a Veterinarian there but you need to set an appointment. Im not sure how quickly they can handle an emergency. They are all very dedicated
Not at the moment but keep checking the website!
You can also take her to the Sunrise Humane Society. It's off of Savannah Rd., where the Humane Society of St. Lucie County used to be.
You must surrender your pet. Just because you’re suffering from financial problems doesn’t mean your pet should. Do the right thing
We have many dogs available for adoption. Please stop by our shelter Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm to come meet your forever friend!
Hi Lisa, we are glad to hear you're wanting to adopt! We do have a handful of small dogs if you'd like to come in and visit or go check them out on our website!
They are awesome with the dogs they good care of them I got my dog from there
Thank you so much guys for your help... I did call animal control and they took her with them... I'm sad because I won't to get rid of her, but they will find a kind family for her. Her name is Noni. I'm gonna miss her because I loved her so much. :'(
Yes, absolutely! :)
At this place the will do vaccines and spay for $125. My puppy had it few months ago...
yes they neuter dogs and spay cats for low cost!!!
They may not get this post- I highly recommend checking their Facebook and message through there. Gracie was my favorite little girl, with such an amazing jump. I am glad you have given her a home.
It also depends on the age of the animal. Like with cats the older cats have a lower fee than kittens. Last summer all cats 6 months or more was $19.
250 for anything under 50lbs. 50 for anything over 50 lbs. They come with vaccines and meds (paperwork provided)
Hello from experience with the Humane Society and other animal shelters is a possibility they are not going to accept them if you live in Port st. Lucie the only way you could get rid of the kittens to call animal control and that you would take them plus all the other animal shelters are full so the best thing is called Animal Control
We do accept neuter and spay appointments. The cost varies, is it a dog or a cat?
We only have dogs and cats at the shelter. Our apologies but no hedgehogs.
Unknow
Sadly, we are unable to accept opened dog food.
Yes. Please call the main line and we'll be happy to assist you.
Absolutely! We don't deny any breed! Please bring your dog in to our shelter!
No.
They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. No need for appointment. Their website is up to date with all pets available for adoption
Yes. They are very helpful here and so caring. Best place to go
Dogs and cats forever
Call the SPCA. There are several animal care facilities in our area that you can adopt from.
Send her a Facebook message. I also have a hard time calling into the office but never had issues with them replying back
You should give them a call😊
I don't work there ,they had an outside clinic and there for my pet's shots and nurturing
The Humane Society is located at 8890 Glades Cut Off Road in PSL. Dogs and Cats Forever is located on Selvitz. Currently, the HSSLC is not offering spay/neuter vouchers to the public.
Yes, we do! Thank you!
I would call them. I adopted an older cat at the melbourne humane society 2 yrs ago in december and adoption was free for that month. That shelter is ran by their sheriffs dept. They did call me a,few months later and asked if i would take another animal. When the snowbirds go back in a couple months they sometimes leave their pets. Adoptions could be free at a lot of shelters then.
No I think they would do that or just call them asking them
Just call them
Yes, but if they don't adopt it, they kill her better. Take her rescue adoption, inc. at 3802 Oleander ave.
You would have to call 911 and have animal control come out. The Humane Society isn't accepting any more animals at this time.
I'd call them to find out what they have
The website page says cats $40. Didn't give any other information on different rates for kittens
Yes they are open Tuesday through Saturday
Marianne, if you can find a way here to the shelter we can see what we can do to help you out
Call tomorrow and ask at the desk. We are closed on Monday. Thank you!
Free at this place on oleander called dog rescue
Thankyou for being kind enough to consider the life of your dog. Just bring the dog in and they will accept it. Try calling first because I'm not sure of the holiday hours.
I would call to find out
Every county regulates pet licenses. Costs can vary but it is relatively inexpensive.
You need an appointment.
Go there with your pet they will work with you. You might want to go to Dog's & Cats Forever they are on Selvets Rd north of Midway Rd. Go there Saturday
I'm sorry for loss, I know how precious our pets are to us. Unfortunately I don't know if they have birds. I'd suggest that you go by and talk to them.
I don't know what they charge, but I do know that all dogs adopted out of there are chipped before they leave. You can check with them when they reopen Tuesday.
I don't believe they do. As many times as I have been in there, I have only seen cats and dogs. But feel free to ask anyway.
You should contact them directly. Don't expect any help
My little terrier mix was $40, which includes spay and neuter plus shots. They charge $5 for the monthly heartworm pills, a fraction of the cost at the vet's
Please ask the Humane Society volunteer when you are visiting Petco
Yes....this is a good facility
No background check or home visit. If the animal you choose needs to be spayed or neutered, you will not be able to take him home until they do that.
It's best to call them directly about what dogs available for adoption. I do believe they post on their website. Sadly lots of puppies are given as Christmas gifts..... Some end up at the shelters being surrendered...keep checking
Not Spanish
You should go there or call them. They most likely won't reply to your inquiry here.
Is what still available?
He will be put to sleep at the Humane Society and that is a fact. Your best bet is to find a private person who wants to give him a second chance and the training he needs.
Yes they do, call for more info. ☺
I don't know about vouchers, but they only charge $25 for spaying or nueater plus micro chipping.
U would have to call them
I suggest that you call cats and dogs Forever on selvitz road it's at 4600 selvitz Road Fort Pierce and that would be a good place to check
They're not like a vet, you would have to surrender the dog, really not sure if they would take the dog if they it was terminally ill.
No idea Suggest call directly to Shelter
You can turn your pet in to them. The laws have changed & there has to be a valid reason to euthanize an animal. They will determine if that's necessary or foster/adopt them out.
It's name your own price right now, the price is usually $40.
They are charged with helping all animals but the way they act I don't so. You might do better calling animal control.
Go to your vet. You can apply for care credit while your dog is being taken care of. Care credit is just wonderful and the payments are very, very reasonable. Hope your dog is ok.
Their pricing is very reasonable, but reaching them by phone is impossible & they don't return calls. Go to the Fort Pierce office and talk to them directly.
Go and claim your kitty. They have way too many to care for. Get another one while you are there.
Around $130 for everything BUT call to double check costs. Adoption costs vary when there are specials. HOWEVER, NEUTERING costs, etc. , generally stay the same for animals you bring in for services like yours. Call Fort Pierce location on Savannah Road between 11 and 1:00 or from 2-5:00 and ask the sweet receptionist. (Closed on Sunday and Monday). They take lunch from 1-2:00. HEART WORMS: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GIVE YOUR DOG MONTHLY HEART WORM PREVENTION MEDICINE. IT'S EXPENSIVE BUT NECESSARY TO KEEP DOG ALIVE. Talk to vet about when to begin medicine.
You need to keep looking don't forget to check the Animal Rescue League on Oleander. They have had an influx of mixed small breed recently.
They run events where they can be 25.00. Also, can depend on age of dog. I am a volunteer. Give them a call. You will get more accurate info.
I'm getting ready to take mine there because landlord said breed not allowed. She was born August 26, 2015
All the questions can be answered on the web site. Thanks for adopting animals.
Call Tractor Supply (Fort Pierce) or Petsmart or Petco. Ask when their FREE clinics are for shots, etc. Please contact us again if you don't find anything. There might be other ways of paying. Awesome that you are taking care of pets!!
Hi, Tracy!! WHICH location? Fort Pierce on Savannah Road??? OR Glades Cutoff Road off Midway Road near I-95 ?? The Fort Pierce location is GREAT about returning phone calls, etc. Make sure you call between 11 a.m. and 1:00 or between 2 and 5:00. On Saturdays, the hours are 11-5p.m. (Their lunch is between 1 and 2 p.m.) The employees are there VERY early in the morning, taking care of animals before the facility is open to public (which is why facility doesn't open before 11 a.m.).
Poor baby. I'm so sorry for your loss. . A local funeral home (Haisley-Hobbs, I think) might be less expensive for cremation, if you're going to keep the ashes. Our dog was picked up from our vet's office after he passed away and taken to funeral home. YOU DON'T have to keep the ashes. A friend's beloved dog passed but she wasn't able to keep ashes.
They also don’t return calls, emails or instant messages.
