We absolutely love coming here. It's very scenic, spacious, and usually not too crowded compared to other amusement parks. Parking is great and bringing your own food and drinks in is allowed and in my opinion a must! They have story book forest, which is very cool and retro. I wanna say there are about 10 or so rides for older kids and adults, 2 of which are roller coasters, but most are geared towards small children. Raccoon lagoon is their kiddie land and has a bunch of rides the little ones can ride by themselves. The water park is nice, with a couple water slides, a wave pool, baby pool area, and a kids water slide playground. The story book characters have put on shows at the center stage which my daughter enjoyed very much. I only gave 4 stars because it is very pricey, although everywhere is now, for the tickets, food, drinks, games, and a locker at the water park, it could cost a small fortune so come prepared. Also I wish there would be a few more adult rides and a few more drink options but overall this is a great place to spend the day or the summer with your family. I highly recommend checking it out.

The updates, new training, and Kid Zone is amazing. Growing up in this area... it made me happy to see it is living up to the name of a top Kid's Amusement park in America.

I love the old time charm of Idlewild! The place at 148 years old as of 2022 still blends the amusement park atmosphere with the local beauty of the Ligoneer area. Great classic rides, a fantastic kiddieland area, a nice water park, and Storybook Forest to boot add up to a great day of fun.

Food was overpriced. Free parking. A lot of things were closed including gift shops. We bought a souvenir cup almost 13bucks and it's the 2017 one, pretty bummed about that. Ordered a combo and didn't get a side or a drink. It's definitely run down and needs a fresh coat of paint and some upgrades. We only went for Daniel Tiger, rode the trolley, train and carousel. Lots of shade and bees. They did offer beer at one stand (8-10 bucks per) and food not containing meat (cheese Pizza and Fries). My daughter had fun she's almost two but she also didn't realize what she was missing with the rides, she was to small to go alone and adults were to big (for her age group).

i have 4 children & i totally recommend it! there spacious & a concierge!
I do believe that there is a emissions fee to get into the park
There are wheelchairs available but no scooters.
July 1-5 all active duty, retired and military veterans who visit can enjoy a free admission.family members may use a discounted family admission.
Yes i am pretty sure they do. At least they did in the past.
The only way to find that out is to call the park. They would have to make that decision.
No and no. New one each season and they are idlewild exclusive.
As long as he meets the height requirements he can ride. All height requirements are listed on the website. And if you are unsure you can go to guest servicea and get him measured and they will give you a wrist band with his height. Anyone under 3 is free admission. There are a few rides too in main park that he can ride with an adult.
Yhey used to have certain days you could get one price for car load but not sure if tjey do that anymore
Yes and plus. You get VIP Access to SoakZone Enter 30 minutes before the General Public for exclusive use of Wave Pool and Lil' Squirts .which is a bonus and get discount on other amusement parks.
Yes. Half of the park is geared towards the younger / smaller crowd.
Yes there were some
You receive tickets to use at another time.
I don't believe so, but you could call guest services
Guest Services can print them for you and put them at the front gate so you can pick them up and use them to get into the park.
It's cheaper if you have a military person in your family buying tickets.. I think it knocked it down to 27 each.
No, there is a campground nearby though. For the day while at the park, yes.
I believe you are trying to ask how much per person. If so, online ticket prices are $44.99 each. At the gate they are $2 more. 2 years and younger are free. You can get discounted tickets at giant eagle too.
Rides in kiddie land you will not be able to ride along with him with the execption of the tea cups and turtles. Everything in main park, as long as he meets the height requirement you will be able to ride with him. Most rides require an adult to ride under a certain height. There are some rides though he will be too small to ride. You can always visit guest services with any height questions or anything others you may have.
It's fun for all ages
No, but it would be nice. Nobdy checks what you bring in though.
10:30 am to 8:00 pm
They open may 18 and 19 they are open. Closed until May 24 then open for the summer
11 and 12 is perfect age for the water park includes wave pool. And the wild mouse Is a legit ride for adults. Do not consider your kids too old for this park. They will love it. The answer above mine is full of inaccurate. She gave an opinion not an answer. Heres your answer. Memories they will make there will be ongoing for years after they become adults themselves. They will want to go back year after year.
I will found out for you asp
When we were there last summer, we got to meet all of the characters
You can check on their website.
If they do it next year you could get one family 4 pack and then just purchase the 2 additional tickets you need from the Ligonier Giant Eagle. Its a few dollars cheaper at Giant Eagle than at the park gates.
I am in another state at this time however you should be able to call them
Rides are shut down til summer
Nope, they don't have to. You can wear whatever you would like.
their website should provide this info they do hallo boo
They have an updated daily list on the front of the website. Soakzone is completely closed now.
The park is closed today and is now open weekends through october. The summer season pass would be the only season pass not good for the weekend events. But you can upgrade it for $10 a pass.
The wave pool is open along with captain kids, little squirts, and pipeline plunge. Lazy river and hydro racers are closed.
Definately- we always pack food and drinks, leave I at a pavilion or take it to the pool area
I just recently purchased tickets online and its telling me to register the tickets can anyone tell me if they need registered before I print them or can I just print them and give them when we go to the park?
Yes, they main gates open at 10:30am and rides and attractions beginning at 11:30am and running until 8pm.
I got my answers. Thank u. Wasn't that much..Gd deal on 31st..
Go to website
There are some designated areas in some of the pavilions, just need to bring your own charcoal.
Next Buddy Day is July 31st - You have to check online for upcoming Buddy Days - Kennywood updates it all the time - Go to Kennywood season pass and the next upcoming Buddy Day will be listed
Thats a good question - I dont really know if they offer a rain refund
No
Yes
If u want to go swimming u should have one but if ur just going to ride and play games no need
If u purchased your season passes online or over the phone they send you all your information for your season passes in the mail you could use that paperwork to get in just let the person at the gate know what happened if u dont have that Instead of paying full price for admission u can purchase buddy passes online for 29.99. u can also purchase buddy passes at the gate with ur season pass card
44.95 but if tou look around you can find discounts. They are always running special's through the week
Im pretty sure its on their site under tickets. If you cant find it i would call the park.
There is no difference before or after 4 pm. Ticket prices remain as advertised.
Idlewild has a great website with easy answers to all of your questions. You can also purchase tickets in advance there.
There is literally an entire area geared towards young children. Including a Daniel Tiger stage that has a show every 45min starting at 230 (last is at 445pm). Almost all kiddie land rides do not require a adult ride-along. Check out Daniel Tigers Neighborhood, Raccoon Lagoon, and Storybook Forest for the rugrats.
They have tons of life jackets in big bins. I've never seen them be short of supply and we go several times a year.
Yes, because you pay before you park ypur vehicle.
They have a tiny Town built you ride the trolley through and you see the characters. The trolley is spot on. Then they can meet Daniel tiger after. It's an amazing experience, my kids loved it and one was 7 so well past the age of loving Daniel tiger. He asked if we could go there for his birthday too.
They have a deal now for $120 for a carload of 6( cost you $140 with taxes and fees), but it's for a short period. Check on the $24.99 before the season it's under it. if you don't get the special its about $41.99 per person. Sign up for email special.
Probably but call to be sure. I know they did Halloween this year.
You dont have to, but most kids do for the story bookforest part. A lot of parents ditch the costume when you are in the rest of the park.
Hello. Yes the SoakZone waterpark has Men's and Ladie's Changing Rooms for changing in and out of swim attire. Lockers are also available for rent in the SoakZone.
Nice kids area, water slides. The website, I believe, lists all the water rides too
Yes as long as your wrist band is still on
I don't know if they do or not have buggies you need to call and ask them .I would still call and check for a wheelchair for your son.
Dining passes aka Food Passes allow you to eat every 4 hours 2 times a day. You can get food at Potato Patch, Waffles and Dinges, Sweet Treats, Boardwalk Pizza near Soak zone, and Sandwich Factory I believe.
You can ride tubes in the slides
To the best of my knowledge, no.
