I'm not a fan of the beaches in the northeast. They tend to be crowded, dirty, and the water can be both cold and murky. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Singing Beach. It's a rather small beach area that looks as though it might be fully private and inaccesible to the general public, but it was accessible at the time of I arrived. The sand is nice and clean, area not too crowded, and water was not murky. It's not clear like a tropical beach, but it doesn't have the appearance that you'd need an inoculation shot from being in the water. My only true complaint was that the water was ice cold, but once are in it you get a used to the cold. That aside the main issue you will encounter is is parking. The majority of the available parking seems to be reserved for residents with few public parking spots available nearby. So be sure to plan ahead.

Amazing trail. Great water. Lots of parking. Clean. Very calming. Easy drive, and access.

I love this hidden gem if a beach, even in the winter it's so peaceful and beautiful! Also there were so many dogs playing on the beach today, it was so awesome to see them all having such an amazing time playing and meeting, or making new, friends!

Very calming and peaceful beach. Would recommend going here to see the sunrise - super poetic vibes. It is a 12-15 min walk from the Rockport Commuter Rail station, if you catch the first one at 530am from North Station in Boston you will …

Rough. Thanks for posting. Saved us the trip.
Dogs are allowed on the beach October 15th through April 14th.
You have to pay $25 per car to park for non-residents, but non-residents can only park in their lot on weekdays. If you park away and then walk up to the beach, you have to pay $7 per person.
It's open to everyone. I park by the train station for free and walk in and have never paid a fee.
You could try calling town hall and see where they point you. The beaches in Gloucester are open to non residents
It's not too far. In the front of the parking lot, but you will go up a small ramp then down onto the beach. You could also be dropped off at the turn around to avoid the walk up.
I went before 9 but used private entrance.... But I never saw anyone stopping people from accessing before 9
No. That's a Crane Beach problem. There are no marsh around Singing Beach.

If they see you being dropped off the fee is now $7 I am sorry to say. And our beach is a mess from the storms last spring. I dont think anyone should have to pay to get on to a beach but that is how it is for now. Sorry...
I don't think that's entirely true. I parked right there by the beach and I'm a non resident. Zero issues.
Yes but parking is not. Non residents have to find street parking and walk up. Parking in the lot for non residents will get you towed.
We went yesterday and got on the beach no problem with no cost. You have to park about a 10 minute walk away because the lot is for residents. Totally worth it though the beach is so clean and beautiful.
Sorry can not help. I was visiting when I was there and with a town person.
A little bit wrong, all beaches in small towns only Friday , Saturday and Sunday all day residents only. Monday to Thursday they open for public after 6pm. but of cause no guards on duty
Currently only open to residents of MBTS.
Only to local residents
No and no enjoy
When I went in early August there was someone collecting money to park and another to walk onto the beach. I want to say the parking fee was on the high side, like $7-$20.
No
I wouldn't recommend Singing Beach for out of town weekend in season. Too many potential buzz-kills. Try Good Harbor or Crane. Got to get there early, but they're public, not town-controlled.
Some places
Monday to friday.. You can park near to beach in $25 and near station all days in 25$ Along side road if you get a parking then you can park for free but for 2 hours
Not at all. It's pretty flat most days. If you want bigger waves head over to Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. It's only about twenty minutes away.
Every day it closes at 7pm, not clear when it does on the 4th of July.
It's $25 I believe for out of towners. But limited spaces. $7 walk on fee after the parking fee.
Free parking off season, but pay very close attention to resident vs non resident parking. If you park incorrectly count on a ticket, and i have seen touring happen here too
