Wallis Sands is our favorite NH beach. It's not very big, but you have the bathrooms (with changing rooms and coin-op showers), the concession stand, parking that is close (if you pay the $15), picnic areas, and lifeguards. Also, hose and spigots for rinsing off feet and things before getting in the car and two new outdoor (cold water) showers for a quick rinse. Perfect for families with young kids. Mine are young adults now, but we still love it. And we have the state park plates, so we get in free--what a deal!

Good size beach with adjacent parking lot for only $15. Bonus, there's a bath house with showers. It's nice flat access for seniors or disabled. You can avoid the traffic at Hampton and still enjoy a great beach

Excellent beach! The bathrooms weren't too dirty and there is a gift shop with ice cream and beach items as well as souvenirs of sorts (stickers, badges, etc.) The water is very cold and may take time adjusting, but the waves are very worth it!

Bc of heat it was crowded, kind of small length of shore compared to Hampton. It's bring your own food n drink. They do have cold showers and bathrooms.

Hop the jetty on the right and its no longer the state park. There's a mile of open water and beach you can fish. No idea of its good for fishing though. I've seen people in the evening surfcasting.
The is beach is 1st come 1st serve until lot is full, im pretty positive. As far as other things like hotels, restaurants, campgrounds, ect, I would definitely call 1st!!! The beaches are going to be packed this summer!
Yes but you have to make a parking reservation through the State Park website https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/wallis-sands-state-park
You don't need a reservation if you get in for free, there are 50 spots set aside for people who get in for free without a reservation, as long as the placard is up to date and you have an ID to show for the NH 65+ you'll be able to park if there are enough spots
Admission is $15, unless you qualify for a free spot, NH Residents 65+, Handicap, NH Disabled Veteran, NH State Park Plates Holder, Seacoast Season Pass Holder, Active Military Personnel, or America the Beautiful - Access Pass Holders.
Yes, but do your bathroom duty before you go there, and don't buy a large coffee on the way! 😀
