Hop the jetty on the right and its no longer the state park. There's a mile of open water and beach you can fish. No idea of its good for fishing though. I've seen people in the evening surfcasting.
Checked the website for Wallis Sands. Activities allowed are indicated by icons. Fishing is one of the activity icons. There is nothing wriitten. indicating yes/no. The fishing icon is the only reference. Howver, the beach is rather small and is used mostly for swimming and sunbathing. I have never seen anyone fishing during the times that I have been there.
