This beach was not crowded during a time when all of the other beaches in town were packed. This is probably because the water's edge is pretty gross with algae. But there is a lovely little park and free parking. It's also dog friendly, with both on and off leash areas, and there is a playground for kids. The big downside is the smell, like sewer. I couldn't tell if it was the algae or the public bathrooms, but moving upwind of the bathrooms seemed to help. Getting past the algae, the water is clear and nice as expected.

Dog park is exactly the place for a dog to be a dog! My Yorkie enjoyed it. I loved that it was quiet, not to busy and the perfect escape from the Tahoe Crowds

Beautiful Park with playground and with shallow warm water that’s perfect for kids. Surprisingly the water was so warm around 80degs! My little girl loves this place. We would definitely come back again in near future with swim trunks.

Nevada Beach and Camp Richardson have camping on the beach. There's also camping across the Hwy from the beach in the center of town by the Commons Beach. I believe it's around 35-40 per night. Call for exact prices.
It actually has shaded parking and I've never had a problem finding an open spot . Was just there Saturday and there were spaces all day.
"Campside By The Beach" is across Highway 50. Walking distance to Regan beach.
No...only because there are very few fish near the shore...it wouod not be worth your time.
