One of my favorite beaches on the Monterey Peninsula .... Somewhat protected cove makes it possible to enjoy a longer sundown away from cooler breezes.

Visited this little gem for the 2nd time. Parking is limited so get there earlier or go during a less crowded time during the week rather than the weekend. Great spot for watching waves. Typically nicer white sand and nice vibrant water. Check it out if you like a less crowded beach.

Amazing beach. Secluded and serene. What a place...

Be brave.. just sleep in your car...bring extra cash 4 the small fine.. cheaper than staying in a hotel...🤗😃🤗
Yes, but there are signs that say for exercise only. No beach chairs allowed and masks and social distancing are enforced.
Any time of the year. Carmel is always beautiful. Enjoy. 😊
Camellias, begonias, cyclamen , ceonothis (wild lilac), agapanthus, sedum
No
Not sure but I saw people doing it from their tailgate in the parking lot
There's some people that would say it is, I did not see any dogs when I was there.
Yeah
It could be anything but probably "not cold." Beware the riptides!
Last time I was there a couple had two kayaks in where the river pools, which is near the parking area.
It's awful, sorry to say. You really need to look into the spots that allow public access to the area where the wedding is held. There may be a limited amount of parking available at one of the stairwells. All in all... It all comes down to, the location of your event. It's a big beach which has been sectioned by natural barriers to certain parts. It's a great beach to walk and explore, but parking is the absolute pits.
Contact the local Surfrider chapter.
It is to prevent flooding of the Carmel river during the rainy season. You can access the trail from Monastery Beach down highway 1
Great beach for picnics or lots of small charming places to eat
The gate to the parking lot is closed at sunset, but you can park nearby and walk the beach later.
