Spayed and neutered the Moonas, the staff was great! And training is next!

I would love to visit this place soon…

The staff members are knowledgeable about the needs of the animals. The shelter member gave an honest assessment of the level of care, time and financial responsibilities involved with adopting a pet. Having that information helped tremendously in choosing the right pet for my family. The facilities were clean and well organized, the animals seemed to be healthy and well cared for.

I found my future service dog 🐕🦺 here!! So exciting!! 🤗🤗

Hi! You can see all our adoptable pets at www.SPCAmc.org/adopt
1002 Monterey Salinas Hwy, Salinas, CA 93908 Sunday11AM–4PM Monday11AM–5PM Tuesday11AM–5PM Wednesday11AM–5PM Thursday11AM–5PM Friday11AM–5PM Saturday11AM–4PM They are currently not open. If you take animals here you need to 'relinquish ' them. Which means you state they are your pets and you are giving them up. There is a fee, but they do take into account low income . There are two shelters in salinas. The monterey county animal shelter and the salinas shelter. Both are probably closed as well. They are located off Hitchcock road. I am sorry about the little one.
Hi Toly, CA to Oklahoma - sounds like a fun drive with lots of interesting places to visit along the way. The SPCA Monterey Bay can answer your question, by email or phone. Best wishes to your family, your dogs and you.
Hi - We do not offer pet sitting or pet boarding. There are many local businesses and individuals who do. We recommend reaching out to them for help.
They are really great people. I have worked with the wildlife staff and they are superb
Yes, you definitely can! You can see all our adoptable pets at www.SPCAmc.org/adopt.
All listed very clearly on there website. Here is a novel thought call them.
callin friends and askin neighbors is a start... probably find smokin peeple n home for him! 🤔
If you are a Salinas resident, give them a call at 264-5400. Ask them if they still have the $25.00 Salinas residents program. They get neutered, chipped, and a rabie shot for $25.00 a dog or cat. I had my teacup chihuahua neutered last month.
Go to the SPCA website and click on pet adoption, there you can click on dogs then see the pictures of the dogs they have for adoption.
Yes, many dogs ready to be adopted to loving, forever homes where they will not be chained up, neglected, beaten, starved, dumped and/or killed
ALL PUPPIES AND ALL KITTENS NEED TO BE WITH THEIR MOTHERS UNTIL THEY ARE AT LEAST 8 WEEKS OF AGE - NOT 3 WEEKS, NOT 4 WEEKS, NOT 7 WEEKS - 8 WEEKS (2 MONTHS) AT VERY LEAST. I am curious why you would ask specifically for 3 week old kittens ? Regardless, to answer your question, there are kittens at the shelter of every age, including 3 week old's. However, none of them will be ready for adoption until they are 8 weeks of age.
No
The giving away of any animal for free is highly discouraged . When animals are given away for free, it is an open invitation for everyone including losers who fight dogs and other sick'o's in general to get their hands on a free dog/puppy. In other words, when an animal is given away for free, the chances of that animal going to a loving, forever home and living a good life, are very low or non - existent. The chances of that animal living a life neglected, abused, chained up, tortured and killed are very high. To answer your question, a reputable shelter will ocassioally offer a discount on adoption fees but never a "free" adoption. If a person can not afford to pay an adoption fee, it is safe to say they can not afford to own a pet.
Please call Marina police department
Try Capstar...starts working in 30 minutes. Sold over the counter. Don't forget to check at your local feed store or Tractor supply !
SPCA of Monterey County 1002 Monterey - Salinas Hwy Salinas CA 93908.
i went last week and they did not have any cats in the holding area. maybe they took them out for an adoption event ? im not sure. your best bet would be calling and asking about the cats they have there
YOU SHOULD CONTACT THE SPCA THEY CAN HELP WITH THIS MATTER.
If you can keep it contained I believe animal shelter will come get. If it belongs to someone, hopefully it is chipped, and they can find out who it belongs to. Good luck. I hate to see misplaced pets.
I went recently, you can stop by during their open hours. If there is a particular dog you see on their website that you may be interested in, they recommend you place a hold over the phone in advance.
I'm pretty sure they do if you call the main office they can better answer your question.
Hi Kate - we provide spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchips, abs flea control products. We recommend checking with your veterinarian for the services you need.
Yes you can. You go on their website and fill out a form specifying what you are looking for. It they run into a breed of your interest or similar they will call you.
You have to go on their website, they have all the pets available pictured there
Im not sure about maine. Im in California .. Google has all the answers try it.
When we donated we got a thank you letter. If you do it using his name an address it should send them a thank you letter. Just not sure if it will l it you as the one who did the donation in honor.
We are so sorry for your loss. Our cremation prices are here: https://www.spcamc.org/for-pet-owners/end-of-life-compassion/
Hi! You can see all our adoptable pets at www.spcamc.org/adopt
Don't know Give them a call at the Shelter they are really informed.Good luck
You can see them online. https://www.spcamc.org/adopt/
animals are not sold here. they are put up for adoption and an adoption fee is charged. the fee helps cover spaying/neutering, microchipping, shots.
Yes I just called to confirm. You are a beautiful human being!
While there are some discounts given ocassionally, the. giving away of animals is strongly discouraged by responsible shelters and pet owners alike. The majority of animals that are given away for free end up in bad situations. Many are abused, abandoned, neglected, used as bait for dog fighting, and some are given to pet snakes as live food. Adoption fees help to cover a small portion of medical costs (all animals up for adoption have been spayed/neutered)
The dogs available can change very quickly.I have not seen the current selection, I recommend just stopping by and you might just find a dog you really want to take home.
i hope you took your turtle to a vet and i hope it survived. that being said, having a pet is a big responsibility. it costs money to feed them and it will need propee veterinary care at some point.
Unfortunately, this is not a direct line or form of contact for the SPCA. they do offer medical services however you would have to contact them directly to find out more information on what you may need. if this is an emergency you would have to contact the nearest vet hospital near you.
yes please they depend on donation's and volunteer work more than most people realize.
They have 5 of them right now. https://www.spcamc.org/adopt/
Pretty sure they can renew all licenses. I know I paid for my dogs Pacific Grove license there.
Your daughter shouldvd moved to a small place with a big yard. Every time I move, " do you allow pets?" Is the first question I ask. if they are not allowed or if it is not accommodating to my pet's needs, then I keep looking. pets are not disposable.. i do not represent the SPCA, I am a local guide who happens to love animals and has done volunteer work rescuing animals. i am not sympathetic to the many excuses people make up to explain why they cant take their dog with them. its funny because most the ones who cant take their dog with them, are suddenly able to get a different dog. moral of the story is , pets are family. you dont leave your kid behind, you dont leave your pet behind either. Do you have any idea how many pit bulls are in shelters? They are the sweet ones, like yours. They passed every part of"adoptability" test. If one part of the test is failed by a dog -- it is considered non adoptable and killed. If your dog is food aggressive ,it dies
Insurance for what?
You can see all adoptable pets at www.SPCAmc.org/adopt or sign up to receive a text or email when a beagle is available at www.SPCAmc.org/pet-alert-program.
We do! www.SPCAmc.org/volunteer
I saw on the local news that they are neutering and spaying Huskies for free.
Hi Juan! All of our services are open today except for our veterinary clinic.
Hi Jeff! Our Vet Clinic offers spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, microchips, and flea control products. We son't offer nail trims at this time. Thank so much for asking!
You should really call the spca...this is just a review site.
Your best bet is to check the adoptable animals section on their website! They do an amazing job keeping it updated with all their current pups.
Hi! You can see all our adoptable pets here: www.SPCAmc.org/adopt or sign up to receive a text or email when a rottweiler is available for adoption here: www.SPCAmc.org/pet-alert-program. Thank you!
Hi! You can see our adoptable pets at www.SPCAmc.org/adopt. You can also sign up for a pet alert program to be notified if a pet you are looking for becomes available.
I have never seen any on the site or at the place but try calling them tomorrow and see.
Yes. We are sorry to hear your adoption is working out and are here for you seven days a week form 8 am to 5 pm.
Call them when they open or check the website they update it daily.
Phone calls work miracles to get good answers
I am not representing any animal shelter. When my family goes to the SPCA or the local animal shelter, there ARE purebreds there. I have seen Yorkies, Pit Bulls, GSD, all types of dogs in the hound group. You just need to keep looking at the site.
The most recommended Alejandra is that you take her to the vet so you know what your dog has and I hope she will recover soon
Depends on behavior, your consistency in training and many other things
Hi Nicholas! We don’t put time limits on the adoptable pets on our care. They can be with us weeks or months while they wait for new homes. Generally speaking, most puppies are adopted just hours after becoming available for adoption.
Hi! You can see all our adoptables at www.SPCAmc.org!
Hi! We currently have quail, pigeons, and chickens available for adoption. We always have new pets arriving, so please keep an eye on our website or sign up for our Pet Alert Program if you are looking for a specific type of bird! https://www.spcamc.org/adopt/
Hi! Please call our Behavior Training department at 831-264-5422, thank you!
Hi! You can see all our adoptable pets here: www.SPCAmc.org/adopt. Thank you!
We do! Learn more at www.SPCAmc.org/volunteer
Yes, but they are currently only available to purchase in person. We are open every day from 8-5 for this!
Yes, you can submit a lost pet report here: www.SPCAmc.org/lost. Depending on where you live, please also contact Salinas Animal Services and Monterey County Animal Services. We hope you find your lost kitty soon!
Hi! Pets found in Aromas need to go to Monterey County Animal Services to give their owners a change to find and be reunited with them. They are located on Hitchcock Rd. in Salinas.
Call them. That sounds important.
From their website: From $20.00 to $125.00. Includes; spay/neuter surgery, microchip identification, rabies vaccination and other vaccinations appropriate to age, SPCA identification tag, pet carrier, health evaluation, and more.
If yes, you can take the puppy
There's a chance that your kitty picked it up from another visiting animal there but i highly doubt it was from the surgery room or anywhere like that. I've brought multiple dogs of my own, along with a few handfuls of fosters there and have never had a flea issue after. As with all infestations, bathe your cat in Dawn dish soap (2 weeks after surgery), throw all blankets and pillows in the washing machine and vacuum every corner. You can also get something called Diamtious Earth (I know that's spelled wrong but Google it). It doesn't hurt our furry animals but kills anything with an exoskeleton.
Call the SPCA and ask😁
Carmen Cutler how much is the fee?
Why don't you call them?
I'm sure the easiest way to get the best information is to call them?
They have a mix of breeds, large and small. You can look on their website, or just go visit.
Why don't you call them for the bedt answer?
You can go to the SPCA website and put in a search for what you're looking for age wise breed wise dogs only Etc.
Yes
It could be many things. No one would ever be able to answer you without doing tests on the dog. Blood in the urine is never a good thing though so I strongly suggest you get him to the vet sooner rather than later. There is an emergency vet at tge corner of hwy 68 and Canyon Del Rey in Monterey. Good luck.
Yes but if you are in Salinas city they ask that you bring the animal to the shelter on Hitchcock. They will also want to know how you know they are strays especially if they are friendly but they even adopt out ferals as barn cats so they will be safe! Thank you for caring!
You can call your local police department or dial 911 if you witnessed animal cruelty and wish to report it. Be prepared to go on record, however...which may create additional issues with that neighbor.
I'm not sure if they would have kittens that young but all their kittens or younger cats would be in the far back of where the cats are located
Yes, go to their website. They update it hourly.
Hi, I can go and give the 6-week shots to my puppy when it comes out
I am not the SPCA for Monterey County I'm just a person you will have to get ahold of them directly to answer your question
hello family friends are doring night so cute little puppy god bless you sister sick wanda
I believe so. The SPCA also has camp for the children.
Their website says they're open mist holidays and they might even be open on Christmas but you'd have to call to get a real response from them don't take my word for it. Good luck.
They always have their animals up for adoption on their website
No, you can not. u can take your kitten to the pet sitting.
