Are thier any other days that adoption is free
hello, a responsible shelter will never have free animal adoption days. No animal should ever be given away for free, ever, no exceptions. why, you might ask? in the interest of finding a loving forever home for any animal, a small fee should be charged at minimum ( for example, $40). A person who collects animals to use as bait dogs for dog fighting will likely not spend $40 for a bait dog. A person who wants a free animal to feed to their snake will likely lnot pay $40 either . if a person cant afford to pay $40 , then how do they intend yo buy food, shots, vet visits, toys etc for this animal? Givong away free animals contradicts everything they stand for. All animals are spayed and / or neutered and microchipped. The adoption fee helps cover those costs. There are days when discounts are offered and fees are slightly less.
