It was okay. They were kind and helpful though. It just that downside was I went there 2-3 times because I didn't have the forms with me. I wished there was some kind of way to know what forms you need ahead before going in. That was the only bad part, but otherwise it was good. They were kind and nice and willing to help find the correct forms needed to register my car.

Busy but very efficient, especially when using the get in line online feature.

Katherine at this location is amazing. Simply the beat DMV worker I've ever came in contact with. She handled the non stop line with a smile on her face and was super friendly.

We went by to get in line, the wait was about 2 hours, so we went and had lunch. Got back waited about thirty minutes and walked in straight up to window 11. Didn't catch her name but the lady was helpful(with a great attitude) and had us out of there in about 10-15 minutes!

Bring your proof of insurance, check, cash or credit card. They might also ask for the inspection receipt, depending on how you purchased your vehicle.
What do I need to bring for tags on a new car?
Sold my car. Do o need to get in line to turn my information in?
How do I get a copy of my title, what do you need
Go to the website, there’s a phone number they give you to text to hold your place.
Cash, Check and Credit card (no American Express) All Credit cards are charged a 2.6% fee
I don't know if things are still the same or have changed, but I what I know is go inside, type in your phone number in the kiosk/machine. You'll get a text saying how many minutes you have to wait until it's your turn. You can check your status by text S, and it'll let you know your wait time. That's what I did to register my car. Also check out the Kansas dmv website, it might tell you what you need to do or if you can update your card online.
Go inside and sign up on the computer to get in line. They got rid of online get in line. Went there today 9/6.
7:30 am
Jeff Kershenbaum did a pre-addressed envelope not come with it? If not there is a box outside the door at that address where they accept renewals/tagging etc that if you went there you could ask, I was there less a month ago they offered for me to use the box told me it'd only take a few days to receive tag in the mail.. Hope this helps you
To get service at the DMV you will need to get a place in the que. Go online to jocogov.org/residents/vehicles.
They have a self serve kiosk. My advise. Is get in line, online, right at 7am. Then call and ask if you can obtain his items for him so he doesn't have to miss work. Doesn't matter age, I gave my son permission to register my vehicle years ago he was 17 at the time as well. I don't remember the steps, so it's safe to call. But important to get in line first, the day you're going. Really hope this helped😁
It is online, not over the phone
Either use the website or kiosk at the DMV. Link to their "Get in Line" webpage: https://www.jocogov.org/dept/treasury-and-financial-management/vehicle-tags-and-titling/get-line
There is also a JoCo Motor Vehicle building in Mission on Martway.
You will probably need to change your address so the Johnson county DMV will send you the sticker when you renew your registration. Best to call one of the offices though to get the real answer.
7:30 Am
Easy google get in line joco motor vehicle. I think it has you provide your cell phone number. Do it early, it can fill up fast
No, but you will need to "get in line". You can do this at the location, on their website, or using the QLess app. You MAY also be able to skip this entirely using the iKan app.
I don't think so... My car was from California with expired tags and nothing was offered while I waited for them to send the electronic title. HOWEVER I was able to get a day pass to drive to the highway patrol place
Yes, you can go to DMV and ask for a new plate.
Car purchase receipt or sale document, broker usually send title to the county if you have paid taxes when you have purchased your used car. That is what I guessed.
Usually about 30 days but that was precovid
Try peeling off the old year and if still not working I would clean it with some rubbing alcohol 😊. Or clean your old one really good and see if it's going to stick.
Going online with their website and get appointment that way or go inside the building and get a ticket for the window.
I don't know about that
Yes
I was in a couple weeks ago. Wife and I both got in the Qless app at 7:30 on the dot and we still had to go up before 4pm and wait inside. Very, very busy place. They need the manpower to run every booth but never do.
First ,as soon as you buy the car, call your insurance company to let them know you have a different car to insure, then tape the bill of sale to the side window until you get home. Doing this shows your intent to follow the law as best you can at the time. Oh, yes. Park the car until you get all legal stuff done.
Here is the link... https://www.jocogov.org/dept/treasury-and-financial-management/home
Yes but you have to reserve a spot online
You don't have to have a appointment . You can use the kiosk and save $5.00
I believe you can online.
It should be listed on their website. You do need to make sure it goes to the right location, though.
No
You might just call and ask. Pro tip: don't call Friday afternoon like I did 😂 I just put my phone on speaker and waited.... And waited. Finally did talk to someone though.
Not sure, give them a call
I went online and got in line to apply for a title. While in line I heard the dmv employee tell someone they needed to go online and get in line to take care of their business. I don't think you can just show up without waiting for hours.
Visit office or call them
You need to do that in person
Did you receive a Lien Release from the lien holder?
No since it's new. I've done that before myself
You pretty much have to make an appointment online for everything now, I'm not 100% sure about it as I haven't gotten a temp decal, but when I did my registration it said I had to sign up online and couldn't just walk in and wait. So most likely yes you will need to sign up online
If its not from Kansas you will need an inspection. And then insurance and id.
You have to stay online in line. You can't just walk in. Start early. I checked in at 7:30am and didn't get in until 2:50pm.
Old 56 hwy. By go chicken go on Harrison Street. Hwy patrol station.
They open at 730am maybe if you're the first one in you might be able to get a reservation.
To get your title I know you will need proof of insurance too. You will need to go to at least two different facilities to get the change of address on your licence and the title for your car. I'm not sure where you get the car inspected.
No need for an appointment. Just give it to the person in the front that is at the cart on wheels. They will mail you the title in 7-10 business days. Just dropped mine off Monday.
Go to the DMV page and look for the 'get in line link. It will be at the bottom of the page if you're on your phone and on the right side if one computer. Choose Olathe or Mission and follow the instructions. Do it early (by 8AM) or you won't get a spot.
Yes, but you must register online the day you are going, you cannot reserve a day ahead. I suggest getting up early even if it is only to reserve your spot. After that you get text messages indicating the time to head that way...
Yes but you will need to get it inspected by the Kansas Hwy Patrol.
Not required. Bill of sale to buyer is necessary. It's your plate you can keep it. You can transfer it provided tag is valid.
thatll b nice paycheck 4 u
Like a 30 day tag? Same papers as if your getting a permanent one I'd think. Title, proof of insurance, a bill of sale maybe.
Just as an fyi....they do not see these questions. This is for Google reviewers to communicate among one another. But to assist...i can almost guarantee they will be closed. The day after Thanksgiving is essentially a holiday now. Hope that helps....
Mon-Fri.
You should be able to go to the US postal service website and request the change of address.
There are machines that give you tickets. I believe you can call and try to set something.
You also don't have to do this until October 2020 at the latest.
You need your registration for the car, the title and proof of insurance.
I would think your registration papers that the sticker came on should be enough, and possibly a police report showing it was stolen if you dont want to pay a fee. Not 100% though on that.
Can you please re-type your question...I'm having difficulty understanding what you're asking
No. The Ridge view location processes vehicle tags. Driver's licenses are processed at the Mur Len DMV.
Yes, 730 am to 4 pm
Need to go to Kansas Highway patrol inspection location in Olathe first and have the vehicle inspected. I think it cost around $10. Take that inspection paperwork, title, proof of insurance, and your drivers licenses to the DMV. Make sure you get in line online on the joco dmv website.
Dmv.jocogov.org
Yes, that's the easiest and fastest way to get new tags.
Go to https://www.jocogov.org/dept/treasury-and-financial-management/vehicle-tags-and-titling/get-line and follow the instructions.
Yes
yes you can
This location doesn't do driver licenses, you would have to go to the one in mission or overland Park
Middle of the week is best but the turn around there is pretty quick, especially if you check in online you don't have to sit there forever
You can get in waiting queue online if it's early enough in the day but you can't make an appointment for a specific time. You can't get in line for the next day either.
prove of insurance, driver's license, copy of car title or maybe just the vin # would do.. goodluck!
I think you take a ticket online or at the center, to be next in the queue.
Handicap placards are provided by the state at no charge. You just need to provide your disabled placard application signed by your doctor.
I lost my handicap placard. How do I replace it.
No, you have to go to the drivers license office. There’s one on S Mur-Len and one on Lamar in KC
Google and also with the fact that I stay around the corner from the dmv
I would either speak to your lawyer if you have one to see if it's necessary to change your name and to take his off of the title, or else call the licensing office for the car. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
3 pieces of identification that's all and you may have to do like a change of address or some sort
Yes
Possibly I mean I'm unsure but quite sure it can be done
We will open on Monday.
Yes you can
Any federal holiday observed by the county is observed by this office.
