I've been here twice now in the past month or so. Both times were in the morning, and had a similar line. However, my first visit took about an hour and a half to get through, while my second visit only took about 20 minutes. So your wait will just depend on how many people they have working there. Needs more staff, especially since they have to serve such a large amount of vehicles.

Title, ID, and obviously the vehicle that needs inspection. Anyone can so the inspection, so yes, you can do it for your wife.

Go in the middle of the month and you won't have as long of a line to wait in. Beginning and end of the month will be a bad time to go.
The insurance company should send you all the paperwork you need to go in and have the final inspection done to change the title.. you will need to have it fixed and inoperable order before the inspection so they can pass for issuing registration.

Thank you for responding. I called and they told me anyone can do the VIN inspection, but the owner has to title it. So the VIN inpection at the Hwy Patrol offices should be okay as long as you have the ppwk

Yes, they will need to inspect it here before you can transfer the title and tag it. It's about $20, they just check the VIN and mileage
Bring your car and any paperwork you have with you.
As long as you have the required paperwork you should be able to go straight to the drive thru bays.
