I absolutely love this place. They treat their animals so well and we brought home the sweetest 2 month old kitten from here. He has 10xd the quality of our lives at home and we’re so happy we made this decision.

Adopted our dog here and it was an excellent process. The fee was reasonable and they provided her with all her shots and spayed her. They were very upfront with any possible issues and followed up to see how she settled in. 10/10 would adopt here again.

I adopted Teemo from Bideawee in June 2019, since then. This little princess has been the center of my life, I love her so much. She was the last one remaining of her litter, I always wonder what happened to her siblings and where they are right now. The staff in Bideawee was very friendly and helpful, I appreciate all the works you have done for all these little angels. I have been to many centers in the city, Bideawee is still the best for me in my opinion. And for some of the bad reviews, I am not sure if the management is still at its peak right now at Bideawee but I am sure they are doing their best personally, and I don't think some of the bad reviews are fair for many people who worked hard to get Bideawee to where it is right now.

Hi I will love to have them
No, don't just "leave" any animal!
They have a variety of dogs.
Puppies 6 months and under are $350, dogs under 20 pounds are $200, adult dogs are $150.
Kittens are $150
Yorkie
Yes. Sheets too.
No. There is a adoption fee depending on the dog you get
They do accept donations of all kind. They have an area by their doors where they place treats and food and clothes for anyone who needs it for their animals.
Yes, but it must be exact change as we don't have a cash drawer. Please let the matchmaker know that you want to pay cash before the adoption paperwork is started (after you select your new pet) as the paperwork is slightly different than when paying by credit or debit.
Who's zip code mine or there's. There zip code 10016
No they do not. The Bideawee vet hospital in Manhattan is only for animals currently in the Shelter. It is not open to the public.
You can enter and adopt!! They are wonderful. I adopted my beautiful kitten from there last weekend.
No sorry. They just have cats and dogs.
No. Bideawee is an adoption center not a rental agency.
A pet store or you can buy it on Amazon
Check the website, Bideawee.org. That lists all available pets and small dogs are often there.
You need to be 16 years or older to work directly with the animals. At Manhattan and Westhampton sites, those age 10 through 15 may volunteer when accompanied by a relative who is 18 or older. There is more info under their volunteer page on their website
they are open by appointment only
No there is an adoption fee you can learn more on their website
Yes. The application is now online. You complete it, and they talk with you ahead of time. Then they schedule an appointment for you to meet the pet you're considering, and you're able to take your new adoptee home that same day.
No. The adoption fee goes towards all of the costs associated with rescuing and caring for the animals. But for the month of February 2020 the adoption fee is waived for pets over 6 months old. But a donation would still be nice.
Visit Bideawee to see if you match a cat. You must show proof that where you live you are allowed cat. Either lease or deed. Bideawee does not hold pets. Good luck. Bideawee has wonderful animals.
Call the shelter they may take him
Bideawee does not allow gift adoptions. The person responsible for caring for the pet must be present for the adoption.
I am a volunteer at Bideawee. We have many breeds of cats&dogs, kittens&puppies of many different breeds. Our animals are each personally chosen to rehome because they are perfect candidates. If you are in search of your perfect baby stop by any 1 of our 3 locations.
And if my in depth account didn't fully help, you can always call them asking what you need to bring with you to adopt. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Go to Bideawee.org and fill out an application under the Volunteer tab.
They have variety of dogs. You would have to go there.
Why didn't you try to Find an apartment that accepts dogs? Putting a sweet loving animal for adoption should not be because we move and couldn't get a new place that accepted our beloved pet. I would never ever get a new apt and without taking into consideration the needs of this "family member" who is just as important as the rest of family....just saying. Good luck
Try pettaxi
Check their website
No they don't have those kind of dogs over there.I went there I tried to adopt a dog and they make me do all the paper spend time with the dog we get it their early come to find out someone adopt the dog.
$350 to adopt the puppies. Id encourage you to check their website www.bideawee.org
Yes, you can.
They update their website frequently and answer phones reliably
I believe they don't have rabbits, only dogs and cats
Same day adoption
No they do not. Bideawee is a ‘no kill’ shelter that gets their animals from ‘kill’ shelters (usually from down South) so they can have a real chance at being adopted. The animals go through a lengthy vetting process. I recommend bringing your stray cats to either the Humane Society or the ASPCA.
fees vary, check the website for each dog's fee
Yes, but you would need someone 21 years or older with you. You can only volunteer alone if you are 18 or over.
You need to make an appointment to surrender your cat. Most likely online.
Payment plan for what.
No but there are collie Rescues on line...check first with Rescues.
Hi Caryn, most animal organizations don't pick up/rescue animals off the street except Animal Control. Your best option is to contact Neighborhood Cats or vist the website of Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals. They have a list of private rescuers in all 5 Borough's, so you can contact one closes to you to help.
You have to call them first...speak to ms.leticia lopez
No but Animal care & control does...always have...
Call the fdny...or you have to get a cat trap and set it up with Chicken...
Always need volunteers...fosters..
As of 2/2018 the Manhattan Bideawee location ceased to provide vetinary services. It is now an adoption-only clinic. They have a Westhampton location however that still runs as an animal hospital. For basic animal vaccines (without a thorough checkup), I recommend checking out Vetco, which is a mobile vetinary clinic that’s present on the weekends at some Petcos in the city.
Everyone in your house should be dog friendly..and no allergic reactions...do you have other pets...do you have children..you can visit and look at the dogs...staff is very helpful
Bideawee ceased providing vetinary services at its Manhattan location as of 2/2018 and is now an adoption-only clinic. Most of the animals there are already spayed/neutered. I suggest making an appointment with the ASPCA or the Humane Society.
Don't know..but aspca hospital is open.
No. You must apply for the animal to be accepted by Bideawee and it's a process. It takes time.
Nohing Their is a fee...
Yes as a surrender...they will help you.. contact Leticia lopez at bideawee
